    1. Pre-teen girls buy them because not many games are specifically made for them on consoles or PC so off course they will buy The Sims series of games and its endless expansions. And Minecraft as well.

      1. But, there’s pre teen girls all over the world!
What’s with the UK Pre-Teen girls obsession with this particular game? :s

        1. It sells so the dumba$$ & greedy retailers stock even more copies and then those sell as well and they order even more and then all of a sudden the PC gaming section is filled mostly with The Sims and its expansions, Blizzard’s games and Football Manager.

That leaves almost no room for other games. This is precisely why disc based PC gaming is almost extinct in USA & UK and PC gaming is 95% digital because of The Sims series creation and subsequent domination of the retail space in stores. That and their is no 2nd hand PC Games market.

          1. They have not discovered Steam yet but even they did The Sims 4 is not on Steam hence we are safe. Origin on the other hand is not safe from them.

          2. He just doesn’t like The Sims dominating and has to make up nonesense reasons, he’s here all the time commenting on this. It’s not an issue, PC has good sales, The Sims and Football manager sell really well, so what?

Have you ever heard a PC user criticising good PC sales? People just want their favourite game to be on top that way they criticize.

          3. Haha, I thought he was just fooling around >.<

I still don't get the obsession UK has with The Sims though. xD

          4. Yeah, but it’s EA. Despite PC being profitable for them, they don’t seem to care that much. :/

      1. I have no issue at all. More money for EA means higher budget for Mass Effect: Andromeda and that is game I really care about a lot.

I just like to analyse what kind of audience buys The Sims series of games week after week and I have come to the conclusion its mostly younger women relatively new to gaming and who are not into violent video games.
