The Occultist is a new horror game with stealth mechanics, coming to PC in 2025

Daedalic has announced a new horror game, The Occultist, which will be coming to PC in 2025. To celebrate this announcement, the publisher shared a cinematic trailer that you can find below.

The Occultist will be using a first-person perspective and it will have stealth mechanics. Players will experience the game’s world through the eyes of Alan Rebels and use the mystic pendulum to unravel what happened in GodStone.

The game promises to have all the distinctive elements of the survival horror genre, with tense exploration and atmosphere, as well as an up-close and personal narrative.

As the devs claimed, Alan will always avoid direct combat. As such, he’ll have to rely to his stealth abilities to advance through the story without being caught off-guard.

It’s kind of sad that this trailer does not have any in-game sequences. Thus, it’s a nothing-burger for most gamers. Still, the Steam store page has an in-game GIF, so I’ve also included them below.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. the CGI looks rough in some spots. But hey, at least we got a white male protagonist in a new IP, that's kinda something in this era we live in, so I applaud them for that.

    1. they got some cojones that's for sure. They really need to work on their sht tho, cause that's all they got now.

  2. Wtf, atleast they could have Named him John or Jim!
There is only for one Alan, and we all knows, where he Belongs dont we 😁

  3. Geralt has changed a lot, isn't it?
Show some gameplay so we can see if it's yet another boring hide and seek shït.
