Lara Croft from UE5 Tomb Raider

The next Tomb Raider is rumored to be open-world, may allow Lara to freely use her motorcycle and parachute

Rumor alert everyone. It appears that the next Tomb Raider game will be open-world, and it will take place in India. Moreover, it is said to feature vast sceneries, free use of the motorcycle, parachute, and Lara’s common traversal methods.

This information comes from V Scooper. V Scooper has been right about movie stuff before, so it appears that this info is legit. As with all rumors, though, we strongly suggest taking it with a grain of salt. Still, it will be interesting to see whether or not this rumor turns out to be true.

V Scooper also leaked some info about the game’s story. The leaker said there’s gonna be a big disaster in northern India which will reveal ancient emperor Ashoka’s ruins and artifacts. Thus, Lara will have to race against some Raiders and other folks to get them first.

In this new Tomb Raider game, the devs will put emphasis on a new non-lethal combat option. This is something that a lot of fans wanted in the previous Tomb Raider games. After all, by the end of them, Lara had killed a whole nation of enemies. So, a non-lethal combat system sounds interesting.

Another new feature of this Tomb Raider game will be based on recruiting teams and allies to strategically aid you in missions and defeating rivals.

It’s also worth noting that the leaker suggests that this new Tomb Raider game will be released in a year or so.

So, here’s what we officially know about the new Tomb Raider game: It’s gonna run on Unreal Engine 5 and it looks like it’s gonna be just for the current-gen platforms. So, I wonder if Crystal Dynamics will use both Nanite and Lumen. Will it be visually better than Hellblade 2? Or will it disappoint us?

Finally, you can find here its first artworks. They don’t show much, but it’s better than nothing.

Stay tuned for more!

    1. tell me about it, i am so tired of ubisoft open world games. They have no structure of pacing, its a cheklist of crap to do.

    1. Must be a sad life where every corner and turn you see you would question whether it is woke or otherwise.

          1. “bro” I’m not your bro
“get a life” makes no sense, how am I able to type this comment if i am d33ad

          1. a youtuber i watch went to the super market and there were rainbow flags at the counters, he said “I JUST WANTED TO BUY SOME MEAT”

            Its everywhere.

  3. ✅ Horrible Setting
    ✅ Open World
✅ Woke and the bullshit politics about how Tomb Raider is not a Raider but a protector of ancient artifacts
✅ Uglification of women in games, and making females look like Transgenders with the masculine jawline and the aggressive eyebrows, and the muscular frame, flat chest and a*s
✅ [ INSERT ANY OTHER WESTERN AAA FEATURE GAMERS HATE ]
    ❌ Fun
    ❌ Me Buying it
    ❌ Me Pirating it

Hey crystal dynamics how about your be honest and rename the game to TOMB PROTECTOR instead of relying on an established brand to sell something completely different than what the fan of that brand expects

Another Week and another news about Western AAA Game Studio/Publisher pissing off the people who are supposed to buy their games
At this point i’m pretty sure this companies no longer want to make profits and walking directly to bankruptcy or a buyout from another sh**ty publisher

      1. they can’t the modern garbage needs to be diverse , don’t know if you notice but jonna or whatever is name is has change colour and nationality …
they are gonna make Lara more sensible , uglier and super human , because … reasons

  4. So it will be even more slop than the already slop survivor trilogy.

Not to mention the infection at Crystal Dynamics seems to be terminal by this point.

    1. Stop being transphobic you rytard. I was born a male, but I look very beautiful in a tight dress since transition.
Of course, my hairy balls are a little showing in thongs and skirts, but I feel like a very beautiful girl, and that’s what matters the most.

      1. yeah im even married to a trans, they are fantastic, she can be my wife and husband at the same time. Best of both worlds xD

  5. If Crystal Dynamics fails with this one they can always rely on a Lara with big personality. That’s what coomers would love to see.

  6. If only it could top the cuteness of rise of the tomb raider in my mind. I can’t imagine any other lara at all. So many memories… so many videos… so much heat…phew!

  7. TL;DR next Tomb Raider game will be generic open world with Leon in transition as a Lara Croft.

  8. This sounds nothing like Tomb Raider but this is Crystal Dynamics.
    Very low expectations.

  9. The negative aspect of such gameplay is how that is going to limit the possible “locations” yet again. I liked the recent reboots, but the fact they remained staled, the first was limited to a japanese island, the second was limited to a snowy region (and snow sucks, the worst gimmick in videogames stages) and the third had a tropical jungle… I think Tomb Raider is more fun when Lara is traveling around the planet

  10. pictures from tomb raider legend and anniversary with old art with bike , means nothing , and its probably gonna be woke as hell, rip badass lara

  11. It seems we are inundated with open world games that lack originality, often not reflecting the developers true vision, possibly indicating they don’t engage with video games themselves.

Speaking personally, I have lost interest in open world games, they seem to consistently emulate the unexciting Ubisoft model.

On the bright side, this saves me money for other games, and I sincerely wish for this game to fail so that the developers receive a clear message.

  12. Sounds like a half-baked reboot that loses the last few things that were still Tomb Raider about this franchise. Also sounds like the kind of project that enters dev hell and is eventually canceled.
Original TR up through the Legend trilogy was always about LEVEL DESIGN in INTERESTING LOCATIONS and the main thing you did was PLATFORMING. Puzzles and combat were secondary.
With the 2013 reboot they dug the franchise into a hole because suddenly combat is the main feature, stealth a secondary feature, platforming maybe third and puzzles nonexistent or last. They still had level design but they gave up on the interesting locations, instead dropping you on [random island] in the 2013 game, then [random lost valley in remote mountains] in the sequel. Classic Lara was traveling the world following leads. nuLara travels to one specific place and then explores a bigger, more connected region, you could say. In this sense at least open world is the next logical progression. So that makes the rumor believable. But it also eliminates the last little bit of adventuring feeling. Pretty much by definition open world games don’t feel like adventures. It’s more like making a place your new home. You rapidly get to know every corner and then the game keeps going for another dozen hours or more. That’s not adventure, that’s not exploration. These things stop happening just a few hours into an open world game and then [India or whatever] will be a stale playground where you feel safe and familiar.
As for non-lethal options, we could have had these in the last reboot trilogy in the form of poisons or electric shock weapons and they wouldn’t have changed anything important. Cosmetic difference. Combat shouldn’t be the main dish in a TR game, no matter what kind of weapon you use. They might as well talk about adding a deep melee system – who asked for this? It’s funny they bring up the “you kill so many people” thing. If that’s really the feedback this non-lethal stuff is a response to that’s a hilarious misunderstanding. People make fun of the bodycount in TR 2013+ because it exposes what the game is about, COMBAT. That’s the criticism, not that Lara should instead tranquilize or handcuff and gag hundreds of enemies, but that she should be raiding tombs ffs.

  13. motorcycle sounds yum. open world tombs seem cool. there were plenty open/semiopen stuff in previous games.
