The Farm 51 has just announced Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, coming to PC in 2025

The Farm 51 has just announced the sequel to Chernobylite, Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone. Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone aims to blend open-world combat, crafting, team and base management, and nonlinear storytelling into a compelling and realistic post-apocalyptic action-RPG.

The game will come out on PC in 2025, and below you can find its announcement trailer.

And that’s it. The Farm 51 has not yet issued any official press release for the game. The game’s Steam store page is not live either.

If I had to guess, I’d say IGN has an exclusive 24-hour deal. So, we should get a press release tomorrow, with more details about it. Once, and if, we do, I’ll be sure to update the story.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

UPDATE:

Apparently, the Steam store page just went live, so here are some more details about the game.

Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is a post-apo action RPG game, mixing free exploration of huge and extremely realistic open world, challenging combat, unique crafting, team and base management with non-linear storytelling. You’re a planewalker who travels through parallel worlds in search of the precious, high-energy material called Chernobylite. Cut off from the world, trapped in the Zone, attacked by hordes of nightmare creatures, you must fight for survival and unite the handful of remaining survivors.

Players will explore the big and realistic open world of the real Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Chernobylite has taken over the zone, transforming many of its elements, and people are trying to defend themselves against it using prototype technology.

The game will allow you to create and develop your hero. Attributes and skills will affect the effectiveness of combat, as well as the style of conversation.

In Chernobylite 2, players will fight for survival with an advanced melee combat system, or keep their enemies away with a diverse arsenal of firearms. Moreover, the game will offer a stealth approach, and the ability to ask others for help. And yes, there will also be support for team building. You’ll even be able to develop your base. There, you can create valuable items and upgrade your weapons every day. Assign your people to tasks, and they will take care of your equipment and supplies.

  1. Looks like they are turning this into yet anothr action rpg looter shooter first/third person over the shoulder coop base building games as as service clone type of game.

    No thanks.

  2. So … we are getting STALKER 2 in 2024, Chernobylite in 2025 and maybe Metro Exodus sequel in 2026?
Dayyuum … lots of cheeki breeki

  3. I played this to completion, i would call it the boring Stalker clone.

One interesting aspect is how the game hates the old left (communism, Soviets) but loves the new left (feminism, liberalism, hell one character is literally a Canadian and he praises Trudeau at some point for giving refugee to a Somali Pirate), if you pay attention to the NPC's backstory you will see how woke the game is. They will probably change the game to Chornobylite at some point.

    1. That's not to say there isn't right wing coded characters, but they are either 2 bit grifters, local gang members, conspiratards and obviously the evil "not ukraine army" corporation you fight against. It was clearly written for comedy or cartharsis, it's clear they wrote the girlboss and canadian character as the "adult in the room"

  4. I did the early acess on this, and 'e.a.' is nothing something I do, so if CNL1 was anything to go by then CNL2 should hopefully be as good..

    1. It was nothing special, good graphics, but you Just spend time gathering materiais. Some stalker mods ARE way better.Hell even amateur story mods like Goldsphere is a cut above this game.

  5. ,2025¿ Yeah right, more likely a 2026 date that's gonna get pushed to a 2027. I don't care anyway, i didn't find the game interesting to begin with.

  6. Like 100% of the games nowadays, it has adopted the complete over-the-top sci-fi aesthetics.
    I'll skip this one.
God I miss when games were at least a little bit believable.
Nowadays, it has become mandatory to get giant monsters from outer space, floating islands, and whatever BS the designers on drugs came up with.

At least when you play Metro Exodus, the "monsters" you fight look like actual humans, animals or insects which mutated because of radiations.
In Chernobylite 2, it looks like… some random s***.
