The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Tamriel Rebuilt Mod – Grasping Fortune Update Comes Out on May 1st

The team behind Tamriel Rebuilt, a DLC-sized mod for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, announced that the Grasping Fortune Update will come out on May 1st. To celebrate this announcement, the team has also shared a new teaser trailer that you can find below.

For those who don’t know, Tamriel Rebuilt is a mod for TES III: Morrowind that adds the mainland of the province to the game. To date, over half of the mainland has been created.

Grasping Fortune will add a massive new landmass in the south. It will also bring over 140 handcrafted dungeons to explore, as well as more than 270 new quests.

Do note that Tamriel Rebuilt is not part of Project Tamriel. Tamriel Rebuilt is a province mod that focuses on bringing the Morrowind mainland to TES III. It also houses the small province mod Eye of Argonia. On the other hand, Project Tamriel is an umbrella for several other province mods. These are Project Cyrodiil, Skyrim: Home of the Nords, High Rock 427, Project Hammerfell, and Elsweyr: Paradise Sugar can be found there.

Needless to say, this is an incredible mod for all Morrowind fans out there. So, we’ll be sure to share the download link for Grasping Fortune the moment it becomes available.

Speaking of Morrowind, you might like these other mods for it. TES3MP 0.8.1 is a mod that adds support for multiplayer and VR. Then we have Morrowind Rebirth. In January 2025, the team shared its latest version, V6.9, which you can download from here. In November 2023, we also shared the first version of a World of Warcraft Mod. Oh, and there is also a 32GB 4K Texture Pack for it. There is also this mod that adds voices to all NPCs on the mainland.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. Looking great! Just commenting to boost that article! (wait, does that even work?😅)
    Can't wait to try this.

    Just a personal thought…
Oblivion looked extremely dated, and the remastered feels relevant.(although it doesn't replace the original game.)
But Morrowind… Thanks to mods, it looks and plays so great that it'll be very difficult for developers to make a proper remaster/remake, I think.
But since Oblivion remastered is a real success (apparently?), I assume it's quite likely we'll get a Morrowind remastered too…🤔

Even if Todd Howard said "Morrowind remastered would not be Morrowind anymore".
    But that was years ago…

    1. fallout 3 is next. We are not getting morrowind or new vegas remakes because they are actually good games and they cant be made today.
