11 bit studios has announced that its sci-fi adventure/survival/base-building game, The Alters, will be released on June 13th. To celebrate this announcement, the team has also released a new gameplay trailer that you can find below.
In The Alters, you play as Jan Dolski. Jan is a simple worker who creates alternative versions of himself in a desperate attempt to escape from a planet where even sun rays can prove deadly.
In this game, players will face important choices from the past in order to save themselves in the present. Players will have to create new versions of themselves to complete tasks impossible to tackle on their own. Moreover, they’ll have to build relationships with the alters and try to influence their decisions.
It’s also worth noting that you’ll be able to manage a moving base in order to escape the deadly rays of a rising sun. Plus, you’ll be able to utilize the planet’s cycle to mine resources and keep your base running.
11 bit studios has also shared the game’s official PC requirements. To run it, PC gamers will at least need a 4-core CPU with 16GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 570, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, or an Intel Arc A570. The game will also require 50GB of free disk space.
The devs recommend using an AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070, or Intel Arc A770. For gaming at 4K, you’ll need an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT or an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080.
