Survival game, Valheim, has sold one million copies in a week

Coffee Stain Publishing and Iron Gate have announced that their latest survival game, Valheim, has sold one million copies in just a week.

As Iron Gate stated:

“Valheim has already surpassed one million sales in our first week on Steam Early Access. For measure, that is equivalent to roughly 8,333 Viking-crammed longboats heading to their next conquest!”

Valheim is a brutal exploration and survival game for 1-10 players, set in a procedurally-generated purgatory inspired by viking culture. In this game, players can battle, build, and conquer their way to a saga worthy of Odin’s patronage.

Valheim is currently available in Steam Early Access, and has Overwhelmingly Positive Reviews on Steam.

    1. It looks alright.

I might give it a gander, since it’s only £15, and it has MC like elements, which tend to entice me.

But it’s pubbed by Coffee stain, so I’m unsure of getting it just yet.

  1. ! million copies isn’t impressive right now imo. People are buying more games due to the Covid virus and being stuck at home and bored most of the time.

    1. 1 million in one week for an indie game that just appeared out of no where is massively impressive. Who do you think you are, Shania Twain?

  2. Reminds me about the game Conan, if you just play it for 10 mins you will think it suck bigtime. But when you start to explore it more it f*king rocks. Most console gamers today are like, play it for 1 minute and judge it.
