          1. Why not? Because at the hands untalented writers, the story will be a mess, characters won’t be themselves, and inconsistencies would pop up left and right, on a series that already have quite a collection of these. And Capcom isn’t known for how good the writing in their games are.

It’s better for Street Fighter to keep its simple and cheesy, yet charming and fun story line, than try to be something it isn’t by forcing depth into a story that doesn’t need it.

          2. “And Capcom isn’t known for how good the writing in their games are.”
            This I absolutely agree.
But That isn’t to say that they couldn’t hire a few decent writers to come up with a good story, it’s just wishful thinking. 😉

          3. Let them try OK, if the story just end being sh ! t, you were right, if not then people would be happy about it. Its a win/win situation.

  1. It better be free lol. No way anyone was going to let Capcom keep the Story Mode behind a paywall. Announcing it as free is just ploy to be seen in a positive light.

Anyway seeing SF finally get a proper story is exciting (by proper I mean not 20 different canon/no-canon endings where most don’t no which one really even happens ex. Tekken).

  2. I wasnt in Street Fighter mood, but after seeing how Capcom is trying to do the things the way is mean to be, I really want to support this.

    1. I never bought MKX. I’m extremely excited for SFV. I hope Capcom puts out an “uncensored” version in a year with all the explicit animations put back in with a bunch of new ones as DLC, just to stick it to the SJWs.
