Electronic Arts has just announced Split Fiction, a new co-op adventure game from the team behind It Takes Two. To celebrate this announcement, the publisher has shared its debut trailer which you can find below.
In Split Fiction, players will discover a variety of sci-fi and fantasy mechanics and abilities. Players will escape a sun that’s going supernova, challenge a monkey to a dance battle, try out some cool hoverboard tricks, fight an evil kitty and ride everything from gravity bikes to a sandshark. Moreover, the game promises to have worlds that are entirely different from each other.
Mio and Zoe will be the main protagonists in Split Fiction. As such, they will have to jump back and forth between different worlds, work together, and master a variety of abilities in order to break free with their memories intact.
Josef Fares, Founder of Hazelight Studios, said:
“At Hazelight, we’ve been building co-op games for 10 years, and with every game we push beyond what players expect for action-adventure co-op games. I’m so proud of what we have built with Split Fiction . Let me tell you guys, it’s going to blow your mind. Because Mio and Zoe jump back and forth between sci-fi and fantasy worlds, we’ve been able to do some really wild things with gameplay and storytelling. This is definitely our most epic co-op adventure yet.”
Jeff Gamon, General Manager of EA Partners, added:
“Friendships and great memories are made through playing amazing co-op games together – and no one does it better than Hazelight. We’re excited to continue our long-term partnership with Josef and his talented team to bring another innovative, collaborative adventure to life; one that continues to push the boundaries and redefine what players can experience together on and off the screen.”
EA will release Split Fiction on March 6th, 2025.
Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

i am not gonna hate it, i once again gonna say that you need a bot mode for singleplayer.
First, they made a game with two dudes. Then, they made a game with one guy and one girl. Now, it's no guys, just two girls.
Now that they're caught up with what was hip back in 2013, their next game should have two girls with a secret hot dog, it's the new trend.
2 games with 2 dudes. Don't forget Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
Made by Starbreeze/Machine Games devs, but still with Fares as Game Director.
2 games 2 dudes, now 1 game 2 females. They sure went woke alright. Took em long enough. rip
I'm fine playing this but it's sad seeing the agenda behind it, pushing the envelope for a few minority votes. Politics are cancer.
What agenda. What dafuq are you talking about
inclusion, wokism. if you cant see it then you're the problem bucko
my bad didnt know ur gender fluid
It takes two – lesbo edition?
The two girls are named after the creator's daughters, so that'd be extremely weird if they were indeed a couple. Eugh.
No thank you.
