Spellbreak is a new magic-focused battle royale game, coming to PC later this year

Proletariat today announced that their highly-anticipated magic-focused battle royale title, Spellbreak, will be free to play on the PC. In order to celebrate this announcement, the team has released a new trailer that you can find below.

Seth Sivak, CEO of Proletariat, said:

“From the start, we wanted to make sure that it would be as easy as possible for Spellbreak players to play with their friends. Thus, making the game free-to-play helps us reach that goal. Going free-to-play and ensuring the game will be cross-play on day one reinforces our goal of making sure Spellbreak will be accessible to as many people as possible.”

Spellbreak is a AAA fantasy battle royale experience featuring epic magic combat and powerful spellcasting. Players choose a class, weave spectacular spell combinations, and fight to become an all-powerful battlemage.

The game promises to feature a deep item and class system. The game also aims to allow players to dominate the Hollow Lands as a solo competitor or conquer their foes with friends in a non-stop quest for survival.

Spellbreak is coming to the PC later this year.

Enjoy!

    1. Also EGS exclusive XD

For a F2P game and being exclusive to one store, they really don’t want you to play with your friends, or make enough money it seems.

      1. Checkmate: Their latest trailer

also, added bonus, a year ago: https://techraptor.net/gaming/news/updated-spellbreak-switching-to-epic-games-store-exclusively

They tested the game on Steam prior to their deal with Epic, which now holds firm.

It’s people like you that have gall to not do research and support a crappy, objectively inferior storefront and scummy business practices. It’s normies like you as to why this industry is in it’s current state.

  1. Or they don’t bother with multiplayer because of cheaters.

Also I question whether or not these Battle Royale games are a fad. They seem to be rooted into modern gaming pretty deeply. Even the Call of Duty series. Black Ops 4 generated 500 million dollars in revenue the first 3 days after release.

Activision and it’s investors were disappointed with the sales and said that they did not meet expectations.

Sometimes I think that the gaming industry has slipped off into lala land.
