Sonic fans, here is something special for you today. VelocitOni has released a new free Sonic racing game for the PC, called Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart. Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart is a classic styled kart racer, complete with beautiful courses, and wacky items.
The game features 100 jam-packed maps for you to bump, explode, and sparkle your way through, from luscious beaches, to Eggman’s dance floor, to England on a good day.
SRB2K currently features two game modes: Race, and Battle. Race mode is the normal mode in which players race through the track to beat their opponents, and use their items and skill to beat their opponents. On the other hand, Battle mode asks players to violently throw spikeballs at their friends until they have no bumpers.
Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart also features lovely 2D retro visuals that most old-school Sonic fans will appreciate. You can download the game from here.
Have fun!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. This is a fan made game? Sega takedown imminent?
Sega don’t care, they think fan games keep their IPs alive, as long they are free there’s no problem.

Sega explicitly allow the distribution of rom hacks containing their IP on Steam. I doubt they’re gonna be all that bothered by a Doom mod.
I’m not sure if you’ve been keeping up with SEGA in the past 400 years. SEGA is pro mods. They’ve expressed love for multiple mods and who do you think made Sonic Mania. It was actually one of the best modders in the mod community and they hired him because he was amazing. The Whitehead dude

Nice. Seems they are making games for actual toasters these days? Gives me something to play when I’m making breakfast!
Extra points: SRB2 is a 20yr old fangame, and still on development, runs on DOOM Legacy engine.
