Rebellion has announced that the latest part in its Sniper Elite series, Sniper Elite 5, will release on May 26th. In order to celebrate this announcement, the team has also released a new in-engine trailer that you can find below.
The new trailer gives details of the storyline and the main characters that will feature in Sniper Elite 5 as elite marksman Karl Fairburne uncovers a Nazi plot to turn the tide of the Second World War. Karl has to use all of the skills at his disposal to gather intelligence about the plans and make sure they never come to fruition. This will pit him against the scheme’s mastermind, Abelard Möller, an Axis Obergruppenführer, who must be stopped at any cost.
Sniper Elite 5 will feature an extensive Campaign, available at both solo and online co-op. The game will be using photogrammetry to rich visuals and ensure a deeply immersive experience.
Furthermore, the game will have a brand new online mode. Invasion Mode will allow players to drop into each other’s Campaigns and take the role of an Axis Sniper with high rewards on offer. This will bring a whole new dimension to the game’s intense drama and extra diversity to the enemies you will face on the battlefield. Additionally, 16 players can face off in adversarial multiplayer in a variety of game modes.

Looking forward to it, hope they wont spend all devtime on coop… i play this type of game for its single-player experience
It’s a shame because the first game actually had a interesting premise the rest of the series just became a ever increasingly deranged revenge fantasy.
I laughed out loud when the obligatory token black character showed up for a split second, just to say “hey game journalists, we care about what you care about!”
I cant wait for this game! Actually I can. I am still working on 4 here and there. But I will get this one too eventually. Just found out they have an invasion mode for this one. You can turn in on and your friends can join in your story mission as an enemy sniper. Lots of people complain on here about these games. I like that it is a good sniper game with lots of gore & detail. The maps are great and it is nice to see a game in 2022 that doesn’t change the swastika to some made up symbol to appease the SJWs.
