Rebellion has revealed the official PC requirements for Sniper Elite 4. PC gamers will at least need a modern-day Intel dual-core CPU with 4GB of RAM, a 64-bit operating system and an NVIDIA GTX 660 or an AMD Radeon HD 7870.
Rebellion recommends 8GB of RAM, an Intel CPU Core i7-3770 or AMD equivalent and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or an AMD Radeon RX 480.
Sniper Elite 4 releases on February 14th and will support Microsoft new API, DirectX 12, from the get-go. Oh, and Sniper Elite 4 will be also using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.

It’s not 100 % pointless, Just Cause 3, FIFA 17, Titanfall 2, Dishonored 2 all remain uncracked.
With no denuvo they’d be cracked within day to a week.
Its pretty pointless considering mafia 3 has sold over 400k copies. Cpy doesnt seem to care about those.

Yeah, I think the heyday of piracy was during the retail era, now with digital stores everywhere and frequent sales I’d say it’s diminishing. I haven’t pirated anything in years and my Steam library is nothing impressive but it has almost 600 games by now.

mafia 3 dint use denuvo and got cracked day one. They just have not manage to crack them yet because it is dificult not because they dont care

Interesting requirements there given that this is the first game in the series to be coded without having to cater for last-gen consoles. The very low minimum requirements look to be about on par with PS4/Xbone as one would expect.

From my experience in different communities and forums you whould be surprised how many people are so impacient to wait and just buy denuvo protected games, so denuvo does make a difference even for a few days.

Every dev has the right to decide what to do with their product,since it is their product. So they can put extra protection on it or don’t.
If the plan is that the first month or a week is all they need to sell a game,then Denuvo is the way for those devs.
On the other side other devs are dropping Denuvo and going DRM-free and
GOG welcomes them.
The problem is from my perspective,with the impatient crowd. Were is the rush? They are like some junkies that can’t wait to get the next fix.
If one buys a 2-3 new games at full price and play it the whole year,that is fine I guess.
There are people who can afford games at full price so they buy it day 1 or pre-order it. Others like me wait a bit for prices to drop,and pay a little less,but with frequent sales it is easy to buy a game.
Those who can’t buy games for various reasons will wait and pirate the game when it gets cracked. And we all know that it will happen eventually.
I thought the point was sales not stopping pirates because bad games like mafia 3 that had no denuvo still sold regardless as did re7 which had denuvo and was cracked. There doesnt seem to be a thing with denuvo or not denuvo. People who buy games, buy games, people who pirate games, pirate them.

Denuvo is not that expensive and it’s only on PC while games like these sell more on consoles.
If Resident Evil which is single player only can cost as much as it costs I don’t see why game that is made by bigger independent studio can’t cost as much.

In 2016 i bought 16 games. 15 of them used denuvo(Mirror edge catalyst homefront revolution far cry primal batman arkham knight just cause 3 rise of the tomb raider quantum break titanfll 2 battlefield 1 dishonored 2 watch dogs 2 and hitman). And most of them i bought them at release date so it wa full price 60 euros? Why i bought them? Because i ddint want to wait months to get cracked if they were cracked day one i woud had never bought them. But onMarch i will buy mass effect andromeda and dead rising4 steam version so sniper elite 4 will have to wait until it get cracekd.
If what prevents you from buying games is your unwillingness to pay money for something, then you are out of touch with reality on why pirates pirate games. Because unlike you they dont have endless amount of money nor buy trash like mirrors edge catalyst and homefront the revolution because they cant get them for free.
mirror edge catalyst is not trash i liked it a lot. Homefront however yes that was too bad. Most pirates pirate because they dont want to pay for games but they dont have problem spending 1500 euros evry 2 or 3 years for new cpu gpu ram and motherboard.

Resident Evil 7, 3m units overall, steamspy 300k copies. You can check this way every game with announced sales. Mafia 3 have 5 millions copies, PC players total 428k
Well Resident Evil has always been a console franchise and Mafia 3, was Mafia 3. So many reasons mafia 3 didn’t sell well on PC. A lot PC players didn’t want to support a publisher that pulls the rug out from under the original dev to give it to another new team, and 30FPS lock at launch are 2 of the big ones.
Not really true. Certain games sells a lot better on PC and many times the PC outsells Xbone as a platform.
If it was only 10 % as a rule of thumb I doubt we’d see so many developers port their games to the PC.

To sum it up:
Denuffo is being used by devs and/or publishers who are rightfully not sure about the quality of the virtual product they desperately want to sell for the highest possible price(n-th iteration of random violent action FPS/TPS game) and/or those having spots on their past in terms of buggy, unfinished products sold for full price to duped customers.
Because putting denuffo into your piece of s..tware is a clear statement towards your potential customers: “We don’t believe you will pay to download our piece of s..tware, so we’ll make you and OFC IT IS YOU who will pay for the DRM “protecting” the p.o.s. against yourself.”

No games need to have this crap in it to sell well.If an unfinished,barely playable game like conan exiles can sell 320 000 copies in one week,Any good quality game would seel very well regardless.

You sound like someone who want them to change formula many of Sniper Elite fans enjoy and risk disappointing fanbase which would be dumb **** move.
As for nothing being changed since V2. Sniper Elite 4 compared to V2 has open world approach, much bigger maps, more freedom, more difficulty options, better graphics, more animations and more detalied once, better TPS camera that makes game more enjoyable, better XRAY cam that we love, more multiplayer modes as well as old ones, fully playable in coop as well and much much more.
Just because you don’t see changes doesn’t mean it’s the same game as it was 5 years ago.
all Denuvo will do is push pirates to g2a and cd keys if they cant pirate it they wont pay full price for it.
cdkeys are great, AAA games and big indies push me there either way, cause DLCs cost too much
How do you know it increase sales ? Please elaborate, it’s not because it sell a certain amount that denuvo have an impact on sales.
