Skyrim 3D Trees mod adds high quality 3D trees and 29 high quality plants with 2K textures

Modder ‘mathy79’ has released a new version of his Skyrim 3D Trees mod for Bethesda’s open-world RPG. This mod features 3D Green Pine Trees, 3D Dead Trees, 3D Aspen Trees, 3D Reach trees, 3D Snow trees and 3D Tundra Trees, and all of them are highly detailed.

In addition, the Skyrim 3D Trees mod features realistic wind animations for all trees, unique textures for pine needles, barks and leaves, and comes with an ESP plugin that fixes awkward trees placement around the map.

Furthermore, this mod also comes with improvements to the game’s flora. The latest version of Skyrim 3D Plants includes 29 high quality plants models and corresponding 2K textures.

Do note, however, that this mod includes some high poly models and could come with a penalty of 4-6 FPS in dense forest areas.

Those interested can download both Skyrim 3D Trees and Skyrim 3D Plants from here.

Have fun!

  1. Easily the best tree mod for SSE if you’re using an ENB and have your shadow distance waaay up in the ini files. Otherwise they look weird. Been around for quite a while.

  2. The intention seems to be to create realistic forests geometry-wise. The trees are much thicker and taller, solving the typical problem with video game “forests”, that they look like a bunch of loosely placed, small trees. Of course LOD suffers when you scale things up like this. I’d also have worries about gameplay with all the thick branches close to the ground. I bet NPCs will clip through those and fight you through those resulting in many awkward moments. I don’t like the result either but the goal is admirable imo.

  3. Very nice indeed albeit I overall prefer Forests of Dibella combined with the textures of Every Tree Different.

The plants-only standalone mod looks promising and is most likely an improvement over the plants from Skyrim Flora Overhaul so I’ll be downloading it. Thanks!
