Shenmue 3 will not be present at E3 2017

Ys Net has announced that it will not showcase Shenmue 3 at this year’s E3. The team claimed that it’s working hard on it, and that it prefers to dedicate the entire June to the game’s development instead of attending game shows.

As Ys Net revealed:

“We have also been receiving questions from our backers regarding our plans to participate in upcoming game shows. While our schedule has yet to be finalized, we will be devoting June to game development and as a result, will unfortunately not be participating in any game shows. “

Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Shenmue 3 is the true sequel to the classic open world action RPG games, Shenmue and Shenmue 2.

The game is currently into full production, however there is still no word on when it will be released!

  1. The very fact no publisher picked this up and is relying on kickstarted spells trouble, I loved the first 2 they are amongst my favourite games of all time, but last years E3 on a Sony show the devs asked for funding…why didn’t Sony publish it? Or SEGA for that matter?

I hope I’m wrong because I would love Shenmue 3 to succeed, but I won’t be holding my breath
