Senua's Saga Hellblade II new feature-fixed

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will release on May 21st

Microsoft has just announced that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will be released on May 21st. That’s four months from now. Moreover, MS revealed some new gameplay footage for this game at its Developer_Direct 2024 event.

In the sequel, Senua returns in a brutal journey of survival through the myth and torment of Viking Iceland. Intent on saving those who have fallen victim to the horrors of tyranny, Senua faces a battle of overcoming the darkness within and without.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will be powered by Unreal Engine 5 and looks absolutely incredible. My guess is that the game will take advantage of both Nanite and Lumen. Ninja Theory hasn’t shared any technical details, but that’s a safe assumption. This is the first triple-A game that will showcase what UE5 is capable of.

Sadly, Microsoft hasn’t shared any PC system requirements for it. However, we do know that Hellblade 2 will hit both Microsoft Store and Steam.

I’ve included below the Developer_Direct 2024 video. You can head over at 10:10 to find the footage for Hellblade 2. Once Microsoft releases a separate video, I’ll be sure to update the article with it.

Ninja Theory has shared the new gameplay video for Hellblade 2 which you can find below.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. An excerpt from wccf’s article on the game:

The new Xbox Developer Direct video offers a few more snippets of footage, although a lot of it is from the game’s most recent trailer, but it’s what the devs from Ninja Theory say that really matters. For starters, they confirm the game will be a “shorter, narrative-led experience,” dispelling speculation the game may be an open-world experience.

A “shorter, narrative-led experience…” Compared to what, the first game? That was already a short game with way too much “narrative.” Is this just going to be 5 hours of “press ‘W’ (or hold ‘up’ on the left analog stick) to win” with 4 hours of schizo dialog and 1 hour of walking? How do you work on a game for 5 years only to end up with what’s basically an unreal engine 5 tech demo at the end?

  2. If they have limited resources rather narrative based I would like them to make a more gameplay driven one like Metroid Prime where the same place could be revisited to and get progression unlocked by the next skill or ability the main character gain (no roguelike or RPG progresion please)

  3. Mental Illness simulator 2.0
i’m tired from hearing about this waste of time, money project
the first game plays like a fanmade UE demo
who in their right mind thought making a game about mentally ill is fun to play
there’s almost no gameplay shown, even they aren’t confident enough that their gameplay is a good marketing

  4. First one was nice and all, but have already covered everything it had to.
The idea behind this one is quite dubious and as far as I can see, it will fail tremendously.
    But that’s just my opinion.
Also, the lass is as ugly as one can be. G-zus!

    1. lol which lass? There were multiple shown. The only one who wasn’t terrible was Melina, but even she looks like she’s put on some weight.

      1. Happens with all women after/near 30.
        *shrug*
Body starts to deteriorating on all levels after ~25, so whoever is not working out, eating well, sleeping well, doing at least a 5:2 fasting every week etc. will start look like a whopper pretty fast.

  5. you are in reality a just right webmaster. The site loading velocity is incredible. It seems that you are doing any unique trick. In addition, The contents are masterwork. you have performed a wonderful task on this topic!

  6. Who is going to pay 60 bucks for
    – digital only on digital online distribution storefronts (you will own nothing)
    – 6 hours game with little replayability
    ?
