Sea of Thieves feature 2

Sea of Thieves Crews of Rage Update available for download, adds new content, is 9.55GB in size

Microsoft and Rare have released a brand new update for Sea of Thieves. According to the press release, Crews of Rage introduces a number of new spoils, bounties and voyages to players to seek out, courting players back to the volatile Devil’s Roar.

Chief among them are all-new Chests of Rage, a type of cursed chest that is able to explode and catch ships ablaze. Keeping this prize in check will require skill and teamwork, though clever pirates may be able to use the furious chest as a weapon or trap against rival crews.

Players can also take part in special Bounty Voyages or challenge the Molten Sands Fortress, with each activity rewarding a Chest of Rage alongside other exclusive rewards.

Furthermore, this patch fixes a number of glitches and collision issues. It also brings some combat tweaks. For instance, aiming down sights and immediately swapping to your sword will no longer cause the sword block to get stuck until you block again.

This update is almost 10GB in size on the PC. As always, Windows 10 Store will download it the next time you launch its client. You can also find its huge changelog here.

Have fun!

  1. Tried so hard to love this game. But ultimately it’s very bland and boring. Even with the updates.

The players that do nothing but f**k with you get very annoying very fast, and takes the fun out of it.

    1. Too bad to hear. I applaud Rare for trying to many different types of games. I guess it was only natural for them to try that hand at this genre. But worst thing is that it too so long to make and they are supporting this game for so long due to its nature.

      1. I honestly think it would of been a better move to make the game strictly a singleplayer/4p coop online game. That way the game would of had focus, story, interesting questlines, more immersive npc world, etc.

The pvp should of been a separate mode that they added in later.

As it sits now. The game is a boring sandbox pvp game with weak progression and no story, repetitive”quests”. You literally can experience the entire game in under 2-3 hours. Then after this point it’s repeat repeat repeat. Even the new updates feel the same just new skins over existing gameplay loop.
