Man, what a day today. Ubisoft, Travian Games and KOEI Tecmo have released today Far Cry 5, Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues and Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings, respectively.
Shroud of the Avatar is the spiritual successor to Garriott’s wildly successful Ultima and Ultima Online games, and combines a persistent online world with a deep story and rich role-playing character development.
As an online fantasy multiplayer RPG, Shroud of the Avatar blends together many of the key features that made the Ultima-series popular, including wide-reaching freedom to explore a living, breathing fantasy world enriched by a player-driven crafting and economic system; the ability to create a classless avatar allowing for distinct play styles and uniquely specialized builds; an engaging storyline written in collaboration with celebrated fantasy author Tracy Hickman (Dragonlance) where players are confronted with ethical choices based on Virtues and Principles; and a unique shared online experience where players can opt to play solo or with friends. Players can also complete the story and explore the world offline, in a stand-alone single-player mode that does not require internet access.
Far Cry 5 does not really need any introduction. Set in America, a first for the franchise, Far Cry 5 offers players total freedom to navigate a serene-looking yet deeply twisted world as the new junior deputy of fictional Hope County, Montana. Players will find that their arrival accelerates a years-long silent coup by a fanatical doomsday cult, the Project at Eden’s Gate, igniting a violent takeover of the county. Under siege and cut off from the rest of the world, players will join forces with residents of Hope County and form the Resistance.
Last but not least, Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings is the final instalment in the Atelier Mysterious Trilogy. In this game, players are able to synthesize items while in battle for immediate use through Battle Mix and Extra Mix, with each opening up a range of new strategic options. Battle Mix focuses on crafting special Battle Recipes that enhance weaponry or cause a drastic change to the battlefield conditions to give the players a tactical advantage. Extra Mix utilizes pre-synthesized items and allows the player to add new characteristics in ways which were previously impossible. Extra Mix allows for the creation of the Enormous Bomb, which has a wider explosive radius and deals a much heavier blow then a normal bomb. Alchemy is your friend, so experimenting with various ingredients can lead to unique outcomes, with plenty of different items to match each player’s gameplay style.

Really enjoying Far Cry 5.
With all the talk about Ubi having to dumb down the AI, do they seem pretty dumb relative to the previous titles or do they provide adequate challenge?
Not really the AI is lacking maybe it’s better on the hardest setting though.
Polygon bizarrely attacked Far Cry 5 with saying “the game totally fails to recognize the horror of shooting American drug addicts while the nation deals with a very real ongoing opioid crisis”.
PC Gamer whined that the game “felt like a missed opportunity” because “there’s not much real political or social commentary”.
So if two of the most SJW-infested gaming sites don’t like the game then it might be worth a look.
And yet if someone made a game that was about blacks shooting each other and how their crime rate is so high, no doubt that would be racist instead of actually what it is in reality. Tackling secondary issues instead of the real issue, nothing will ever be solved like this, seems they want us fighting against each other.
Given that the SJWs in the media accused The Witcher 3, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Resident Evil 5, Scribblenauts, Deus Ex: Human Revolution,
Mass Effect, The Legend of Zelda series, TES V Skyrim, Final Fantasy
VII, TES 4 Oblivion and even Donkey Kong of being ‘racist’ then I’d conclude with noting two observations.
One, that SJWs will stop at nothing, no matter how ridiculous it may be, to get attention.
It could be observed that they strive to make the most outrageous claims possible in the fight for attention now that so many people have jumped on the bandwagon with them all competing for attention. Being ‘outrageous’ often isn’t good enough to get noticed any more when all SJWs are being ‘outrageous’. To stand out from the crowd so to garner the attention all snowflakes feel they’re deserving of they try to one-up their brethren by being even more ‘outrageous’ in their claims.
It’s not limited to gaming because the same could be said for ‘news’ networks and their websites.
Two, that SJW-themed articles are good for business because the controversy and outrage they seek to manufacture helps to drive click-based advertising revenues at the sites in question.
One only has to view the high number of user comments made in response to SJW-themed articles at the likes of PC Gamer and other sites relative to generally much lower number of user comments made in response to normal articles to realise that the media are playing their audience. There’s much profit to be made from manufacturing false outrage.
Don’t worry so much, It’s being dealt with and they will only make it worse for themselves like getting someone like Trump or the rise of centre right, right wing parties which will crush poltical correctness and identity politics, that’s if the left don’t eat each other first.
I don’t disagree with any of that but will respectfully not address the specific points you’ve made due to not wishing to stray too far off-topic from discussing gaming.
As for this game in question then Ubisoft may be many things but they’re ultimately a commercially successful enterprise so consequently haven’t been so dumb as to hand over one of their key franchises to pandering in total to the SJW agenda.
Ubisoft are evidently smart enough to know that the majority of the public are normal sane individuals. They’re well aware that the highly vocal SJW political activists on the internet represent only a tiny fraction of the wider population who are commercially irrelevant.
I’m just not going to buy these sorts of games or support websites that have this sort of identiy politics, I’m also going to teach my kids to avoid this sort of thing as well and will push back at every chance I can.
PC Gamer hasn’t quite gone ‘fully Polygon’ just yet. Each time they publish a SJW-themed article (typically by openly Leftist ‘news’ editor Andy Chalk) there’s plenty of kickback from the readership in the comments sections. They do of course join in with seeking to attack and ridicule (and sometimes censor) those who dare to question their groupthink Leftist political views purporting to be news.
Also, use an ad blocker plug-in with your internet browser so that whenever you visit such sites they never profit one cent. Obviously ensure to have DSOG and other deserving sites whitelisted.
I wouldn’t give Ubisoft as a whole so much credit. An interview from back when the game was first announced mentioned that some people from the team actually traveled to Montana and spent time with the locals to learn more about the place for the game, it would take a real psychopath to make the scathing game journos wanted after actually visiting the place and talking to real people.
So I think this is more likely the result of creative decisions by the team rather than some cynical corporate decision not to pander to SJWs.
I can’t begin to tell you how much it pained me to have inadvertently congratulated Ubisoft! ?
nah mate, Ubisoft are still cucks
don’t forget A$$ creed Kangz edition they came up with last year
i doubt they learned their lesson, it’s simply was because they know their audience
since Far Cry is a SHOOTER, noway they were gonna pander to those who are ANTI-GUN
all they did was a financial decision over a recycled game
unlike Ubermensch KCD who openly mocked SJW’s for their whining of not including black people in middle ages Bohemia https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a4b49bf3ad6ec465df0b0307040d4047cbfbec18f376ad09e896ec3686a975b5.jpg
I don’t get the kanz thing, is it because the they made the Egypians in the game more black than they should be and used to have dredlocks?
it was “blackwashing: the game”
Egyptians were not N*ggers, they were orange colored and highly elegant in their culture
but nope, they were “kangz” and acted like Nubians
they even turned Kleopatra into a Nubian
if you literally google Egyptian skin color you’ll get the “Politically correct” results on goolag pictures that show you utter and blatant propaganda
it really rustled my jimmies that Ubisoft turned Assassin’s creed into a fake-propaganda simulator of ancient times
i hear the next AC is in Greece
the lord have mercy on their plans to N*ggerfy these humble Mediterraneans
Yeah I’ve noticed that, I’ve been interest in Egyptian history and never noticed that they’re that black as presented now, they’re more brownish, proper pictures reflect that.
Try searching “European people history” on google image search.
and that and white couple
it’s a known fact that Goolag is actively trying to erase history and inject it with fake propaganda really makes you think what would they do once they actually succeed in their white genocide campaign…
tis a dystopian nightmare we live in…
All search engines are doing it, even DuckDuckGo I use.
because Duckduckgo piggibacks goolag
the only exeception would be Yandex
though it still somewhat reuses what goolag uses
sadly goolag has become a major monopoly
and the alternatives aren’t much of a competition
at least we have GAB which is a wonderful alternative to the Orwellian kikebook and Twa tter
Yep, not just Google either seems like a government thing that search engines have to comply, and yes there is loads of blacks in the images with a small amount of white people in images.
It’s literally just an algorithm that searches images based on what ever images have been looked at the most per what ever you’re searching. Reason why you’re finding that more than likely has to do with the fact that people are actively looking at those images the most.
Notice how at the top of the images it has words like “Real” “White” “Black” “Ancient Egyptian” “Nubian” etc? Try clicking on them and you’ll find different images. For instance hitting “Real” after typing in “Egyptian Skin Color” displays the actual skin color of Egyptians.
“So calm your little Governmental fears down young one”
So you’re back to being your usual patronising and condescending self after an extremely brief period of civility and relatively good behaviour.
You’d honestly do yourself and the valid points you raise a great favour by not resorting to using the N word. It serves only to detract from the points you’re seeking to establish. I’m all for freedom of speech but, come on dude, there’s really no need to be using that kind of language.
what of it? words can only hurt those who are willing to get hurt from them
and i say we shouldn’t demonize such speech, that is what leads to mass censorship and other Orwellian guidelines
the shackles of the SJW is using FEAR as a weapon
fear! but once you let go of that fear
they cannot do you any harm, and since DSO hasn’t fallen under the occupation of the ZOG (yet)
i’ed say Free your tongue from the shackles of political correctness
just like our forefathers have unshackled themselves from the tyranny of faith

We’ll respectfully have to agree to differ on this one and that’s okay because unlike the groupthink of the SJWs we’re not required to march in lockstep.
Ubisoft do feel the need to put a notice before their Assassins Creed game starts about how divserse they’re so not to offend anyone. Of course saying you’re diverse is the ultimate defense, it implies anyone not diverse is offensive LOL.
The first mission of the game has you stealing a bike.
Had a black man steal a bike, implying all black people steal bikes I would bet they’d say.
Yes, I mean it’s not even implying that only blacks steal things, it’s reality that they do but not only blacks. Maybe SJW’s need to go to those trypes of neighbourhoods and see reality and of course it doesn’t just happen in those type of neighbourhoods dont’ know why people even assume that because it was never implied.
Second post got blocked for pointing you to how the NYtimes had an article about GTA SA promoting racism and stereotypes but it will not go through the DSOGaming ridiculous approval standards for comments now. No idea why it will not allow it but look it up yourself if they don’t get posted in the end. It was an article written August 12 2004.
So it would just end up catching the same amount of flak it already caught back in the day, still come out, and I highly doubt anybody would really care that much since news papers/gaming news sites praised how realistic Franklin and Lamar’s conversations were for actually portraying how black people speak from the hood in V instead of sounding like they were written by somebody who watched Boyz N’ The Hood 20 times and Menace II Society.
There’s nothing bizarre about it, the SJWs have been clamoring for another Wokenstein 2, and ever since FC5 was announced they’ve been salivating at the prospect of murdering “Trump voters” and seeing a scathing portrayal of rural people in the US. Seeing that the game doesn’t actually grandstand about their pet political crusade must have been a huge disappointment to them, especially to Kuchera, since he is known as one of the most cancerous SJWs in games journalism.
Indeed. I noticed that too with the discourse surrounding Far Cry 5. As you say, the SJWs were initially positively frothing at the mouth in excitement and now that Ubisoft didn’t wholesale pander to their extremist agenda they’re now spitting the dummy. It’s all rather amusing albeit in a pitiful way.
After the debacle that was Mass Effect: Andromeda I’d be surprised if any AAA publisher will be so dumb as to pander fully to the SJWs ever again with a big name franchise. Their CEOs can virtue signal all they like but when such games aren’t selling in sufficient numbers and so aren’t delivering the expected profits then they know that the shareholders will soon see to them being replaced.
Why do you or who cares what Gamespot thinks? Why do people put so much stock into what these out dated and terrible gaming “news” sites think about video games? People are going to make the games they want if they can get funding, case in point, Kingdom Come Deliverance.
I was about to say, I’m fairly positive they gave Dragon Age II a fairly high score like an 8/10 or something ridiculous. So it’s not like their reviews are exactly respected by gamers who don’t care about reviews anymore. They lost their relevancy with that one for me personally.
The quotations in my initial post are both from reviews rather than what sites may have been stating in other articles. If there’s some particularly stupid SJW nonsense in Gamespot’s review then I’ll gladly add it to said post.
EDIT: I just viewed their ‘review-in-progress’ and it was thankfully free of SJW nonsense.
Really wish you hadn’t lumped in these 3 games into one article. Now all anyone will talk about is Far Cry 5 :/
bullshit of the avatar 2002 graphics edition
