Respawn is working on a new Star Wars game, possibly a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order

From the looks of it, Respawn is currently working on a new Star Wars game. According to a job listing, Respawn is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for creating a new Star Wars game.

As the job listing description reads:

“We’re picturing someone who is passionate about the Star Wars Universe and is invigorated by the idea of coding third person action/adventure games. If this sounds like you, we’re looking forward to seeing your resume.”

Respawn’s Star Wars game is a third-person action adventure so we can assume that it is working on a sequel. After all, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a critically acclaimed title. Therefore, it makes sense for the team to start working on a sequel.

According to EA, Respawn’s Star Wars is the fastest-selling digital launch for a Star Wars game in its first two weeks. The game is also now EA’s top-selling Star Wars title on PC in its initial launch window.

In other Star Wars news, EA Motive is working on a very unique Star Wars experience. EA expects this Star Wars game to come out before 2022.

    1. Yes too bad the game was a lazy Dark souls copy and paste. All this game is, is a optimized Dark Souls. The game is lazy, but people love anything that’s shiny. The Force Unleashed III is what I want.

  4. And now EA gonna milk the cow and when the third game wont sell well and get bad reviews because they pushed micro transactions and multiplayer stuff(dead space 3) and do stupid and lazy decisions because the devs will be slave to EA stupid corporate mentality

    Then EA will be like “sINgLe PlAyErs gAmES dOnT sElL wEll!!!”

    And rip respawn studio they will join the graveyards of EA victims of greed

  7. I hope that they make a proper Star Wars game this time.
    Enough with the baseball bat made of foam that they call “lightsaber”, the no dismemberment BS, don’t waste 90% of the game fighting big bugs or wacky Disney creatures and allow the player to pick up a blaster rifle. I also wish they would use the alien designs from the Prequel and the Original trilogies, they were more diverse than the crap made by Disney/LucasFilm.

  8. To be honest, I wish the Cere character was an alien, same with the Jedi acheologist (I don’t remember his name). The problem with Disney Wars is that they refuse to acknowledge the aliens (non-humans) as sentient beings, they always treat them as background prop or wacky comic relief, they never really give them a bigger role.

  10. hopeful but a bit worried! The sequel will “need” more depth to the game, to be just as successful. Fallen order is a fun game to play but doesn’t break new ground and leaves a lot to be desired. I’m worried they get lazy and start following the ubisoft mentality! no one will want the same game for the sequel EA! It will fail and you’ll add mtx (to make a profit) and it will keep going downhill from there! I hope they’re smarter than this
