Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition to be released on December 12th

Capcom today confirmed that Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition will be coming to retail and digital on December 12th. The newly announced title will include all the contents from the critically acclaimed release earlier this year along with all three pieces of downloadable add-on content, in one ultimate horror package.

These previously released DLC packs – Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Banned Footage Vol. 2 will be included as well as the upcoming third DLC release End of Zoe. Capcom are also able to confirm today that the delayed Not a Hero DLC content will be available to download for free for owners of any version of Resident Evil 7 biohazard on this day.

The free Not a Hero DLC sees the return of Resident Evil fan favourite and veteran BSAA soldier Chris Redfield. Taking place after the horrific events that befell Ethan Winters in Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Not a Hero brings a brand new experience playing as Chris to face new threats not met in the main game. As a member of New Umbrella, Chris and team quickly set up a strategy to counter this latest threat.

Enjoy!

  1. Nice. When Capcom announced that this game’s VR mode would be a Sony timed-exclusive I decided to not buy it until available at a much cheaper price so as not to reward their anti-consumer business practices. So I’m delighted that a GOTY version will be appearing because I’ll now buy that instead once it’s available for peanuts.

        1. I follow two simple rules to improve my chances of enjoying a game:

          1 – I never play demos.
2 – Even if I’m not enjoying it so much, I endure for at least the first two hours of the game, to give it a proper chance before dropping it for something else.

For RE7, the game got me from the beginning so it was easier to like it, and it only got better the more I played.

Hmm free dlc? It must suck. Capcom would never do that.

    1. Capcom were the first publisher to give free DLC to the masses. It was already on the game disc so we got it included for free. Oh, we had to pay to unlock the content we already physically owned but, heh, details!
