Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil 7 will receive some visual/graphical enhancements. Although the team did not reveal any additional details, it did confirm that these patches will be also coming to PC.
Upgrade patches for all three games will also be released for PC players at no additional cost when the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions launch!

My guess is that we’ll get Ray Tracing shadows and/or reflections for all three games. After all, Resident Evil Village already has ray-traced shadows. We can also assume that Capcom will add support for AMD FSR.
These free upgrade patches for these three games will release later this year. Naturally, and once they become available, PC gamers will be able to download them via Steam.

Even though there’s no redemption for RE3 remake, I’d be much happier if they upgraded the gore system instead, shame.
Nonsense. RE3 is better than 2 because it doesn’t force me to play almost the same thing twice for a marginal content change. I wasn’t much of a fan of the Scenario A and B, but remake manages to make it worse. The gore system was slightly downgraded, but barely noticeable.
Dude although things are improving the PC market isn’t really worth bragging about either lol with most having weak hardware like Polaris still over this darn shortage.

lol im still on Maxwell gtx980 gpu, nothing to be ashamed of, I hate consoles but even i admit that Xbox series x and ps5 provide much better value for money these days. In third world countries like mine even a crap gtx1650 non super 4gb is selling for $330 these days. Gtx 1650 4gb is even weaker then previous gen Xbox one X gpu.
But if you live in a poor country, wouldn’t it be better to have a PC, were you can do a lot of others stuff while still playing? I mean, a console in this case would be almost a literal waste of money, since they have one pourpose and one pourpose only. With a PC you can earn some pounds in the day and buy you some games to play at night.

The dude has a valid point when he talks about mor0ns operating the OS. The average user will have a shltload of programs running in the background, cause they just know how to click on things, and believe me, they do click on things without any concern. That said, you know very well how your PC performance will be affected when you try to run a game and there’s 32 game stores, 9 browsers, 4 music players and, of course, 3 antivirus running in the background.
And not to mention the config screen on the game itself, they would never know what those settings are.
But again, you have to be an absolute moron to not know how to manage an OS like Windows in the current year. I guess the average user is a moron so a console is a perfect match.

We already have a VR mod for RE2 and RE3 (REFramework on Github). It works with RE7 and RE8 as well, but it’s not as good in those games (I don’t think it supports tracked motion controllers in those games yet).
These games don’t need graphical improvement, they need respect and fidelity improvement.
RE2 was kinda nice, but RE3 was a punch in the face of the fans.
I won’t talk about 7, cause that’s not RE.
The only good remake in this series is the first one, the series became a joke since 6 (some would argue 5).

I agree but i disagree with your take in 7, i think 7 was good and a good way to meet half-way, ofc i would’ve prefered capcom went back to Tank Controls and fixed cameras, but they were obviously not gonna do that in 2017, RE7 is a genuine horror game and very respectful to the RE lore, and finally a story that isnt afraid of taking itself serious.
Dunno, i liked it, dont see how it was a huge betrayal of the series, specially with all the RE4 fanboyism.
Oh but I like the way the game plays, it’ lovely. The thing I don’t like is the stvpid story behind it. When the bioweapons became cultists doing shlt, I lost my interest (and respect) for the lore.

Hopefully they add proper 60fps or even uncapped zombie animations instead of 30fps, so we dont need to hex edit the fix in, and would love if they fix the awful hair since it looks pixelated in cutscenes

RE Village doesn’t have RT shadows AFAIR.
It has RT reflections, global illumination and ambient occlusion.
Probably not RT, probably just DLSS and FSR.
