Capcom has announced that horror players around the world will get an intense sneak peek at the hotly anticipated Resident Evil 2 before its launch with a special demo event starting this week for PC via Steam. Available to download for a limited time from January 11th to January 31st, this will be the first opportunity for fans to experience the completely reimagined horror classic from home.
Aptly named the “1-Shot Demo,” players must take on the challenge of surviving the horrors of Raccoon City in just 30 minutes. If players complete the mission objective under 30 minutes, they can restart the mission until they use up their full time. If players succumb to the zombies during their 30 minutes, they can continue any number of times until the full 30 minutes have been reached.
The end of the demo reveals a brand new cinematic trailer exclusive to demo participants. While players cannot restart the playable demo after their time is up, there are no limitations on how many times the trailer can be viewed.
In the “1-Shot demo,” players step into the boots of rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy as he arrives at Raccoon City Police Station in the ultimate worst first day on the job. Leon must survive vicious zombies and solve puzzles to find safe passage out of the station. With an entire building of flesh-eating nightmares lurking between Leon and his escape while the clock ticks down, players need to be sure they’re killing more than just time.
Using Capcom’s proprietary RE ENGINE, Resident Evil 2 offers a fresh take on the classic survival horror saga with breathtakingly realistic visuals, heart-poundingly immersive audio, a new over-the-shoulder camera, and modernized controls on top of gameplay modes from the original game. The classic action, tense exploration, and puzzle solving gameplay that defined the Resident Evil series returns. Players join rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield, who are thrust together by a disastrous outbreak in Raccoon City that transformed its population into deadly zombies. Both Leon and Claire have their own separate playable campaigns, allowing players to see the story from both characters’ perspectives.

smart move capcom, hopefully it will stop pirate losers on this website and pc platform in general.
hmm can cpy crack denuvo in 30 minutes? We will see.
Who says about cracking a game IN 30 minutes?
Besides scene groups don’t crack demos, just like alpha and betas 😉
Cheat Engine can be a medicine ;]
they have used demo exes to crack full games.
yeah, if Capcom uses denuvo in this demo perhaps they shoot themselves on the foot.
cracking a demo does not magically result in full game being available somehow. they usually have same drm implementation so if they crack demo exe, they still have to wait for full game to be released. also this is only true if game can be played offline.
stfu, don’t insult sony you pc peasant. all pc gamers have low iq unlike us the real pros aka sony gamers.
also it seems like the demo will be online only so it means values are stored in a server so good luck breaking world record for simulating a server before the main game comes out, dumb nerd.
first, if you insult god sony one more time you will be blocked and i will report your account to pakistani authorities and i’ll get you perma banned from the whole internet. second, how is sony dying when it keeps breaking sale records?
resorting to racism when you can’t argue, typical white racist boy.
i bet you’re one of those brownies who think they’re white
no offense but you’re starting to sound like someone who’s jealous of my brown skin which is far superior to white and indicates i have high iq.

PS4 Pro will be the worst looking and worst performing with those garbage specs. Just like the fact that Red Dead 2 is ugly as hell on PS4 Pro.
so are you an xbox neeger or one of those who pretends to be same as pc gamers because he’s an xbox neeger who deepthroats for microshaft on xbox one x?
lol PCMR

LMAO
“smart move capcom, hopefully it will stop pirate losers”
lol someones gonna mod out the timer and the full game will be spoiled
mod out the timer? you so stupid it hurts.
first, the demo is apparently online, meanings values are stored in a server while you get display number and value on your client. second, even if it is playable offline, demo version will be completely a different version from the final game. meaning game files are either completely different or not complete. you’re such a dumb nerd.
regardless. the fact that you support this 30 minute limit is the true mark of stupidity and the current brainwashed goyim gamer
i support 1 minute not 30 minutes. you pirate losers will put up with 30 minutes coz you poor
how small is your d*ck, seriously. The amount of comments you’ve disproportionately posted here is equal to the disproportionate rate of black murderers in America. reeks of over-compensation. seriously.
low iq poor white kid jealous of muslims and browns, how typical. get blocked kid.
ahahhahaha its already cracked! told you so lil kiddo
it’s not cracked you dumb imbecile, it’s a simple value modification you pathetic dense nerd.
smart move capcom, hopefully it will stop pirate losers on this website and pc platform in general.
“The end of the demo reveals a brand new cinematic trailer exclusive to demo participants. While players cannot restart the playable demo after their time is up, there are no limitations on how many times the trailer can be viewed.”
How Generous of them.
Yes on Friday all i’m gonna do after i get home! Really nothing is making me more excited for gaming for the next few months at least until tropico 6 comes out
This is the only game I’m buying this year unless Outer Worlds and Cyberpunk 2077 manage to come out later on…
WTF is this 30min BS?!!
Just give us one level without any time limits, and we will be fine!
It’s designed to create tension/challenge. The demo can be completed in 30 minutes if you are capable.
This will hopefully be a good test for my rig, but given how it’s only 30 mins and 30 mins for a single test, it could go either way.
Nice d*ck move Mr. CrapCom.
ALWAYS online demo + ALWAYS signed in, locked to 30 minutes time limit with ONE chance to play it. After time reaches 30min you can delete the demo.
Knowing them after DEMO start they will gonna have your Hardware/Console ID so creating a new Steam/XBL/PSN account will not work.
After PAY 2 WIN ADS in SF5 they put a Cock-Cage in RE2R way to go japs.
Demo will be cracked on the PC…either the 30 min timer will be patched or the profile to have multiple play through. Hope my PC is capable of running this..time to decide to get this on PC or PS4.
i doubt the whole game will be on the demo.
It will be just one level, though we will get the freedom to check everything they do not want us to see in those 30 minutes and decide to pre-order it or wait for a price drop.
hopefully they’ve ultrawide support
hey goys install denuvo so you can only play thirty minutes!
shifty jews

they’re messing with us , it’s free demo, why the 30min limitations
someone will make a hack for that
The number of people salty about getting a free demo is kind of bewildering. Gamers really are a bunch of snowflakes.
2010: players get the f*ing demo. and have it to play.
2019: ah ah ah, you only get 1-shot pleb, then you get it taken away in what is completely baffling move.
I’m guessing you are not only a corporate shill who enables all kinds of bad publisher decisions in gaming, but you are also an aggressively passive pastey-white snowflake in real life. f*ing eww.
I kind of like this concept
I’ll try it out, just to see how it performs on my pc and to get a first impression of the new camera and controls. If they are good enough, I will pre order it.
