Remnant 2 gets official PC system requirements

Remnant 2 releases next week and Gunfire Games has revealed its official PC system requirements (via its Steam store page). These PC specs appear to be low, meaning that this new third-person shooter looter will be playable on a wide range of PC configurations.

Gunfire Games has listed the Intel Core i5-7600 and AMD Ryzen 5 2600 as the minimum required CPUs. The developers have also listed the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 and the AMD Radeon RX 590 as the minimum required GPUs. The game will also require 16GB of RAM, as well as 80GB of free storage space.

Gunfire Games recommends using an Intel i5-10600k or AMD R5 3600 with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700.

Unfortunately, the developers have not shared the framerate, resolution and graphics settings that these PC specs target. However, we do know that the game will at least support NVIDIA DLSS 2 (though there are no plans right now for supporting DLSS 3).

Gearbox will release Remnant II on July 25th. The publisher has not provided us with a review code, so don’t expect a day-1 PC performance analysis. However, since we’ve already purchased the game, we’ll be sharing our initial PC performance impressions on its launch day. After all, I really enjoyed the first game so I’m kind of looking forward to this sequel.

Lastly, you can find below the game’s latest trailer which reveals the Hunter Archetype.

  1. I’m guessing it’s a UE4 title and not UE 5 what with the 12700k and 4090 not being the minimum requirements.

    1. UE5 is more efficient than 4. If you port the exact same scenes, you’d find UE5’s version looks and runs better out of the box.

  2. one of my favorite franchise i was looking forward to, too bad they have no interest in DRM-FREE GOG. Played the hell out of the first one. I’ll be skipping this one till they decide otherwise. Even though they already have Chronos: Before the Ashes on GOG which is in the same universe.

  3. Ηow hard can it be for game devs to also tell us what to expect as in resolution/settings/fps? What does recommended mean? 1080p/high/60? I mean it’s just 2 more lines of text to add.
