Remedy’s Control will officially release on August 27th, gets brand new gameplay trailer

505 Games and Remedy Entertainment today announced that Control will release on August 27th on the Epic Games Store. In order to celebrate this announcement, the publisher has released a new gameplay trailer that will take viewers further into the game’s supernatural world.

Set in a unique and ever-changing world that juxtaposes our familiar reality with the strange and unexplainable, Control is a third-person action-adventure game combining Remedy’s trademark gunplay with supernatural abilities.

After a secretive agency in New York is invaded by an otherworldly threat, players will take on the role of Jesse Faden, the new Director struggling to regain Control. This sandbox-style, gameplay-driven experience built on the proprietary Northlight engine challenges players to master a combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable loadouts and reactive environments while fighting through the deep and mysterious worlds Remedy is known and loved for.

Control will also take advantage of real-time ray tracing techniques such as Ray Traced Indirect Diffuse, Ray Traced Indirect Specular and Ray Traced Contact Shadows.

Enjoy!

    1. Which is even worse because this is an actual game unlike Quantum Break which is a interactive movie. So your point is all around bad news for Control. ?

    2. ???

This is clearly a quantum break mod. The reason the environments are minimalistic is to save budget and development time and the reason it has a female character is to get extra coverage form journalists.

  1. The release date of Shenmue 3 is also the 27th of August. If Shenmue 3 remains on Steam, it will be an Epic Store vs a Steam release on the same day. Will be interesting to watch the results.

  2. “deep and mysterious worlds Remedy is known and loved for.”
yeah like the world where , astonishingly , the greatest and most powerful GPUs and Processors fail to deliver enough frame rates for a game that looks average at best.

  3. This game screams SJW!
Everything from the name, protagonist, setting, advertising…so effin rytarded!

    1. I’m curious of how do you make a game that has a female protagonist without it being labelled as SJW propaganda? Or are developers not allowed to use female protagonists by default?
