Remedy lowers the PC requirements for Control

Remedy has just released the revised/final PC requirements for Control. What’s really interesting here is that the team has lowered both the recommended and the RTX requirements. Whether this is due to a better optimization (or just so that the game has lower PC specs) remains to be seen.

Remedy previously listed an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti and an AMD Radeon VII graphics card for the game’s recommended requirements. However, the team has now replaced them with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660/1060 and an AMD Radeon RX 580.

For RTX, Remedy recommended an NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080, however it now recommends an NVIDIA GeForce RTX2060.

Unfortunately, Remedy did not reveal any additional details about both the minimum and recommended requirements. As such, we don’t know the resolution and settings that these specs target.

But anyway, the good news here is that Control will not be that GPU-heavy, presumably, at 1080p.

Below you can find the final PC requirements for Remedy’s supernatural action adventure title.

  1. That’s more in line, but I still don’t see a 2060 managing RT. They should specifically state “2060 for RT at 1080p 60fps”, rather than leaving it completely ambiguous

  2. this game will be removed from all stores in 2023 due to licencing issues according to PVGC, so it’s useless to spend money on it.

  3. Well, at least now sounds about right… the previous one was crazy high for the graphic quality they shown.

  4. “For RTX, Remedy recommended an NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080T”

still the same for that i guess. for higher resolution.

” the good news here is that Control will not be that GPU-heavy, presumably, at 1080p.”

I wonder how this will stack up to QB. QB still has some of the best effects and motion capturing.

  5. RFLOL.

I knew they were pulling or getting something with those requirements when from quantum break to this one there is not such a huge difference, graphics wise.

    Quantum Brake Minimums:
    Nvidia GeForce GTX 760
    AMD Radeon R7 260x
    2 GB of VRAM
    DirectX 11 compatible

  6. “Intel Core i5-4690 / AMD FX 4350”
How??? an FX 4350 is comparable to an i3 3220 , how is the intel counterpart being required an i5 4690???? im guessing you’ll be fine with an i3 ivy but this is annoying to see.

    1. Why are you whining about min specs Lol. If you are still using one of those old a*s CPU in 2019 then you only have your self to blame.
