Another month, another Red Dead Redemption 2 PC leak/rumour. GTAforums’ member ‘rollschuh2282’ shared some PC settings from Red Dead Redemption 2’s companion app, suggesting that a… wait for it… PC version is under development.
What’s really interesting here is that according to member ‘Spider-Vice’, these aren’t mere leftovers from Grand Theft Auto 5. In other words, these leaked settings also hint at a PC version so it remains to be seen when Take-Two will officially announce it.
As Spider-Vice noted, there are some differences between these Red Dead Redemption 2 PC settings and those for Grand Theft Auto 5. For instance, there is a reference to DirectX Feature Set 12_1 in these new settings, suggesting that RDR2 PC will support Microsoft’s latest API.
Moreover, some of the graphics options from GTA 5 became sliders in RDR2, such as refresh rate. Also, it appears that Rockstar has integrated some extra things to the R* Editor menu, and all graphics options now have an Ultra preset (Grand Theft Auto 5 did not have such a present).
Now while there are noticeable differences between the GTA5 PC settings and these leaked Red Dead Redemption 2 PC settings, it appears that some of the previous settings that were leaked a while back are absent from these settings (which could mean that these RDR2 PC settings may not be indicative of those that will be featured in the final game).
Still, the fact that there are graphics, system, UI, Control and Display PC settings for Red Dead Redemption 2 is something that should not pass unnoticed.

Imagine getting excited for DX12 when 90% of the times it’s a straight up downgrade from DX11. Sure you get raytracing but why would that matter when 90% of the map are open, huge environments like in Exodus.
BFV runs DX12 so poorly.
And with that said, I don’t know why there isn’t more of a push for Vulkan. DX12 is garbage and it’s clearly the loser when comparing to Vulkan, yet DX12 is being constantly pushed.

Do i really need to explain what’s wrong with GTA? I mean just look at its gameplay, look at the story (not just GTA 5, pretty much all GTAs), it might have been an ok title when it basically revolutionized the genre, but now? It’s just selling because console gamers are a bunch of tards, and they’re spreading to PC in the latest years, failing to understand that PC gaming also has a mentality behind, it’s not just a time-passing hobby like they’re used with consoles. You might like GTA’s story more than MGS, i don’t honestly care, but there’s no doubt behind MGS story, it’s much more articulated and complex compared to GTA’s and the gameplay although being linear (MGS 5 not so much) is much more polished and well-finished and fits much better with the whole game, soundtrack is created for the game on purpose (for most of the games of the saga) and it’s at a pretty good level compared to the GTA radios tracks which are common radio songs for normies. While the developer can’t, which reminds of that bloody Doom 2016 game… The game is over 94 GBs, and you can’t just download the single player. You have to fill your SSD with garbage in order to play a 10-15 hour Sp campaign.

Yeah nice excuse, GTA PS3 version from PS4 version didn’t change that much, it was slightly more polished, and graphics was a bit better, but nothing major, i expect the same for this.

The fault is theirs, because normally someone who develops a game develops it for all platforms, just to increase the potential income, it’s kinda logic honestly, or at the very least for the best platform, which is no doubt PC, for many obvious reasons, but no, since they’re paid exclusives they choose to release the game only on the platform that paid them, and that’s what i’ve never been cool with, especially now that Epic has brought this very same thing on PC, but kinda failing for the moment. You’re damn right this isn’t the case, GTA 5 wasn’t a good game, it was kinda mediocre, and having to wait a year after the initial release for such low quality game kinda sucks, needless to say that it was developed with PS4 in mind, and you can see the limitations it has. “If a game is the game is good, it’ll be good forever” damn right, but again not the case, i was only hyped for one game on console, MGS 5, but eh, they released it even on PC and i bought it instantly, hopefully some day i’ll be able to replay the entire saga on the PC, instead of borrowing a PS3 to play MGS4. Emulators are improving, but they’re very far from that quality level a PC gamer looks for, even the most emulator-friendly game runs kinda bad on those emulators, imagine those that run bad…

That’s because GTA V is not a good game. It’s me for 14 year olds that wanna play make believe Hiester/tough guy/im from the good guy. The game is so damn boring. I tried offering it 3x and have quit everytime after 15-30 minutes. It’s a very bad game, nothing you haven’t done before.
Honestly, it’s a bad game because the writing is just plain terrible. That and so much content got shifted over to the huge mess that is GTA Online. I was a big fan of the series, but can’t even bring myself to finish the story in this one.

No they weren’t, GTA V had terrible optimization. Look at that load in menu and frame rates all over the place. For a game that doesn’t look that great to begin with. It has a bunch of rubbish in the Graphics menu. I doubt any of them even work. Don’t get fooled by quality and abundance. Rockstar uses a technique many magicians in Hollywood used called, “slight of hand”. They use loading screens and other trickery to mask how terrible their games are optimized. They ain’t fooling no one.
Max Payne 3 had fake loading messages to force you to watch the cutscenes.
GTAV was a whaler, designed to squeeze people with microtransactions.
Rockstar is a sh*t company that doesn’t respect consumers and hates the PC platform, RDR2 is most likely going to be another whaler and crippled by intrusive DRM.

In GTA 5, Boring AF is an under statement. I got to the planning of the 1st heist, I don’t even know what chapter that is and I just clicked uninstall for the 3rd time. The most messed up part is that they don’t have the Single Player seperate from the online download. So you have to download all that rubbish to play the main boring Azz rubbish. Ughhhh.
