Red Barrels announces the next part in the Outlast series, The Outlast Trials

Red Barrels has just announced its latest project in the Outlast universe, The Outlast Trials. Set in the era of the Cold War, The Outlast Trials will allow players to face the horrors that await by themselves or with fellow test subjects.

The Outlast Trials is still in production and the team did not reveal any additional details.

Red Barrels’ co-founder David Chateauneuf said:

“Now we’ve done our proof of concept, it is time focus on content creation, variety… and gore.”

Red Barrels has also released the first concept art for this new Outlast game that you can find below!

      1. Looks like multiplayer-focused sh*t.

        But meh, Outlast 2 was a lot worse than the original anyway, it was a frustrating trial-and-error chase game instead of a spooky exploration/stealth game.

    1. I don’t know, I’m thinkin cold war mkultra seems like a decent theme, is it the multiplayer element? That does seem like an odd fit actually.
