Quantum Break – New Update Planned For Release Next Week

Remedy has just announced that the next patch for Quantum Break is planned for release next week. While the company did not reveal its changelog, we expect to see some performance improvements with this upcoming update.

As Remedy tweeted:

Thomas Puha, Head of PR at Remedy, claimed that this patch could be slightly delayed.

Still, the good news is that a new patch is coming. Here is hoping that Remedy will offer an option to remove its re-construction tech on the PC version, and that it will resolve most issues (like frame-pacing) that have been reported during these past days.

  1. this game needs patching up asap first of all optimization is their top priority then bug fixes then but not likely letting us choose the native resolution

    1. All resolutions are 66% of native resolution. If you want “disable” upscaling then set resolution to 1440p and game will be in nearly 1080p

    1. I really don’t understand why anyone would want a monopoly of Steam. I hope that more games will be on the Windows Store because i don’t want monopoly. Valve never publishing any of their games on Windows Store, Origin, Uplay, GOG. Not a single game.

      More shops = better prices

      1. For the last time, Windows Store isn’t competing with Steam. It just happens to have MS games now.

I don’t like Steam as a store as much as the next guy, but FFS Windows Store as it is now (I’m giving the benefit of doubt) is pure rubbish.

        1. “Windows Store as it is now (I’m giving the benefit of doubt) is pure rubbish”

Few years ago Steam also was a rubish with one game. Give MS a 3-5 more years. When Windows 10 gain more share then more developers will use Windows Store.

More shops = better sales, better prices etc.

I really don’t want Steam monopoly. I hope that WinStore, Orgin, Uplay will be stronger 🙂

          1. Nor do I, but this is giving expecting and giving too much credit to MS.

Yes, Steam was rubbish at the beginning, then came the improvements. YEARS of improvements that could be put to good use by the developers of the most used OS in the sodding world. What did they do? GFWL and now this f’ing Store.

In what they are better than Steam? Origin, GOG or even Uplay (ugh)? What benefits do I gain buying the game on their store that I can’t have on the others? Can I access the files? Can I mod the game? Can I use third party monitoring software? Can I use alternative payment methods I use on the other stores? (here I can’t). On the next Windows iteration do I have guaranteed access to the games I’ve bought?

Even with the workarounds for some of these, why complicate things when it’s a simple process for any other store?

          2. Hopefully Windows store will die off or stop their restrictions but yeah it’s really no competition to Steam and never will be because it’s XB1 based junk.

          3. AdoredTV is going to far with his Anti Nvidia ARMY. The guy needs to be put in check. I hope this patch up’s performance like GoW patch fixed AMD performance. Then maybe he will stfu about his DX12 ends Nvidia bs along with his Nvidia wants out of the PC gaming business BS. I swear the dude works for AMD or is trying to get a marketing job…

          4. “What did they do? GFWL and now this f’ing Store”

And great store on Xbox One with integrated backward compatibility with games from Xbox 360. In Redstone MS promise to merge stores between X1 and PC. With all options : addons, preoders, cross buy and maybe backward compatibility with x360.

          5. “Few years ago Steam also was a rubish ”

and most of those online shops still are.

“Give MS a 3-5 more years. When Windows 10 gain ”

It never will because ms is garbage it will fail like GFWL and zune and all the other trash they made. Why is ms not letting devs make games on non windows with their new api?

          6. I’m big fan of future of Windows Store. Look at X1 Store: preoders, addons, cross buy, cross play, cross save – all that options will be in Windows Store in Redstone 1. Maybe even backward compatibility with Xbox 360 on PC?

          7. >I’m big fan of future of Windows Store

There’s nothing else I can add to this in order to make fun of you or accentuate how stupid you are.

You did a masterful job of it on your own.

            No words.

          8. Valve pioneered digital storefronts for PC games, that’s why Steam initially sucked, it was never done before, it was something new and done during a time when physical media still reigned.

You’re trying to use the same excuse in 2016? After Steam has been refined and even after Ubisoft and Origin launched their stores and finally made them tolerable.

They literally had 3 different companies to learn from.

        2. No it isn’t. It just happens to have big budget games published by MS.
It’s a general store like Google Play or App store.

          Something, something ecosystem something.

          1. “It just happens to have big budget games published by MS”

Windows 10 is currently installed only on 34% of “game PC” (Steam Survey). Wait a year or two. When W10 gain at least 60-70% then more and more developers will use Windows Store. They need time: 3-5 years to compete with Steam monopoly

        1. Yes in my country Uplay and EA have better prices than steam. I never bought a single game directly from Steam because all games on this store is at least 2x more expensive than on any other local store.

    2. They should know the majority of Remedy’s audience is on PC, and on Steam to be precise – GOG to a lesser extent as well. QB sold worse on X1 than Alan Wake ever did on 360 despite the latter releasing on the same day as Red Dead Redemption, and I honestly doubt the Win 10 Store release fared any better…

A Steam release will certainly happen; it’s the only way they can make this IP worth the time and money they threw at it.

  2. Good to know that probably but not surely “players” of this gaymeh/c- tv series hybrid will get more optimizations next week. Or maybe not. Very useful information indeed.

What they need to develop is a new “time” ability, but this time in real world, then go back in time to the beginning of the creative process and start again without arbitrary m$oft’s restrictions and pathetic tv series.
