Pokemon fans, here is something really cool for you. Nemo622 has released a new Pokemon game that you can play on PC right now, called Pokemon Lazarus. So, let’s take a closer look at it, shall we?
Pokemon Lazarus is basically a ROM Hack of Pokemon Emerald that takes place in the brand-new Ilios Region. Players will explore an exciting new region based on Greece, meeting new characters and catching over 400 Pokémon, all in the classic GBC style.
Since this is a ROM Hack, you’ll need the ROM file for Pokemon Emerald. Otherwise, you won’t be able to play it. Also, Nintendo won’t be able to take it down. Again, this is a ROM Hack that will change the entire Pokemon Emerald game. It does not contain any copyrighted material. As such, Nintendo cannot do anything about it.
The download includes the BPS patch file for Pokemon Lazarus, alongside a README and 3 Documentation PDFs. You can go ahead and download it from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a video for it. This video will give you a glimpse at what you can expect from it.
What’s also cool is that you can play Pokemon Lazarus on real hardware. So, if you want to get that retro feeling, you can dust off your Game Boy Advance and play it.
Another really cool ROM Hack for Pokemon Emerald is the Super Mario Mod. This mod basically replaces all the characters, NPCs and enemies of Pokemon with those from the Super Mario world. It’s a cool crossover between these two franchises. So, if you are a fan of them, I suggest trying it. You can find its download link from here.
For those who want more Pokemon games on PC, you can play all the Nintendo Switch Pokemon games. Right now, most of the Nintendo Switch emulators can run all the Pokemon games that have come out on Nintendo Switch. This includes the latest Pokemon Switch game, Pokemon Legends Z-A. All of them can run with 60FPS at 4K, giving PC gamers a better gaming experience than Nintendo Switch.
Have fun everyone!
