Paradox Interactive’s CEO takes a humorous approach to the battle between Notch and Bethesda

Well, everyone wants a piece of a delicious pie, right? Since every gaming site is hard at work covering the battle between Notch and Bethesda, Paradox Interactive’s CEO decided to gain some publicity by taking a humorous approach to this whole mess. And yeah… we are suckers for informing you and giving Fredrik what he really wants so bash us as much as you want to.
Fredrik Wester tweeted a few minutes ago that it would be a great idea to name their next game “Edge Of Scrolls” or “Scrolls Of Edge”.
“Given the PR value, I think our next game will be named Scrolls of Edge. Or Edge of Scrolls, whatever sound better.”
Hilarious. And wait for it… Bethesda might now sue them for making fun of them.
In case you were unaware of, Bethesda’s lawyers contacted today Notch, creator of Minecraft and the upcoming game called Scrolls. Bethesda claimed that Scrolls infringes on their trademark and everyone will confuse it with Skyrim.
Moreover, the company demanded Notch and his team to stop using the name Scrolls, that they will sue them, and that they demand a pile of money up front before the legal process has even started.
So… let mortal combat begin!
