Official PC requirements for the Souls-like “Pinocchio” game, Lies of P

NEOWIZ and Round8 Studio have revealed the official PC system requirements (via Steam) for their upcoming Souls-like game, Lies of P.

According to the devs, PC gamers will at least need an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core i5-7500 with 8GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 560 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.

Round8 Studio recommends using an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7 8700 with 16GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 6700 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060. The game will be also using the DX12 API.

Unfortunately, the team did not reveal the framerate and graphics settings that these PC specs target. We also don’t know whether it will support any Ray Tracing effects, or whether it will support any AI-powered upscaling techniques.

Lastly, you can find 12 minutes of gameplay footage from this game here.

    1. At the end of the day it’s still an Unreal Engine 4 title, so it all depends how well the game will run on Xbox Series S/X, because the DX12 API renderer code will be a straight port from there to the PC version, as usual.

And of course the question whether the game will pre-compile all shaders beforehand on PC or will stick to loading & compiling them on-demand during gameplay which inevitably is going to cause stuttering on PC, whereas the same mechanism on consoles is usually not a problem, because all shaders ship on those already pre-compiled for the specific hardware in question.

In short, will the devs actually playtest the PC version themselves on a clean install without any previously built-up shader cache?

      1. It’s not bait. games likes these are usually better by other developers than from software. Because from software is a horrible and lazy developer. The surge 1 & 2 puts any from software game to Shame on PC. Unlock fps, PROPER KB+M support, graphically options in an abundance & PROPER button prompts. All that should be standard for PC game. Who the FUQ on PC is still playing 60fps.

        1. i’m still playing at 60 fps on my 42 inch 11 year old hd tv….too cheap to spend 1,000 dollars on a 4k monitor of the same size that can go past 60 fps.

          1. Nah man, I don’t give a damn about 4k, it’s all about 1080p@120hz. I don’t think I can even see 4k to be honest but what I’m sensitive is blur. So I choose high refresh rate over all things. But if someone can’t afford, ain’t gonna knock that. It’s understandable.

          2. I don’t know many modern day titles the run 1440p@144 fps, rasterized. I’d say absolutely NONE! But one can dream.

          1. EXACTLY, it really hurts to see PC gamers go against there own interest. You tell the truth about 60 FPS lock on PC, crappy KB+M support, no proper PC command prompts, limited graphical options and all things that are suppose to be standard to the PC platform and what do the bootlicking idiots do, they attack and thumb down into oblivion. All because we speak truth of their god From Software. SMH I tell ya.

          2. Dark souls PTD edition never got fixed. Had to use a mod to get 60fps and 1080, or wait for the remaster.

  1. Not my kind of game, especailly when the toon carries a weapon 2-3x his own size 🙂 Seems kinda comical but hey… everyone is allowed to play exactly what they want and (well according to me… not the censor’s of govs/twitter who wants at max pacman vilolence level)

    1. I’ve always hated those oversized weapons. VERY immersion breaking. Good to know I ain’t the only one.

  2. There’s no RX 6700. Someone mistyped a number. It’s 5700. (Even if there was an RX 6700, it wouldn’t be on par with 2060 unless the optimisation was royally F.)

    1. RX 6700 10GB do exist. just that not many AIB are making it. also the “recommend” spec most likely assuming very high plus heavy RT settings.

      1. I know it exists but no one can buy it. It was a mining card at first that Sapphire launched as 6700 (without RX) which it later repurposed for gaming, and AMD shyly confirmed its existence, though you won’t find it sold anywhere, retail-wise. Maybe OEM.

I doubt developers would recommend a card hardly anyone knows about or can purchase. Either someone mistyped 6, or the devs can’t tell which cards have/lack the XT moniker.

  3. “Souls like ” the new “call of duty” of this generation …….but the lack the soul of the souls games its art and lore .
