So what kind of panel is this?? OLED? Large scale IPS?
I notice they said “ultra low latency” but didn’t list response time.
I presume MVA with LED backlight. This HP OMEN X Emperium 65 display seems to be using a 64.5-inch 8-bit AMVA panel.
The panel looks to be using the quantum-dot technology for a wide color gamut covering 95% of the DCI-P3 color space (125% sRGB).
MVA = (Multidomain Vertical Alignment).
I think while response times of AMVA panels are faster than earlier tech, it can still often lag behind current TN- and IPS-based displays. Viewing angles are better than TN panels, but still not as good as IPS tech as tested by some in the labs, imo.
Though these AMVA panels attempt to fix the problems of earlier technologies, including color washout and color distortion, by utilizing more domains than standard MVA panels (resulting in higher contrast ratios and deeper blacks).
Dude, your comments are always worthy of giving a read here on dsog. U mostly have an explanation, answer/solution to any PC TECH related query, and they are all well put as well….:D
.*much respect*
Give me one 😉
That’s what she said!
My 24 1440p 60 hz DELLP2416D is good enough! No need for that overpriced crap!
Maybe get someone there with an IQ above 75 to explain to you how much larger 65 in is compared to 24 in. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out that someone that’s happy with a 24-inch 1440p monitor is not even in the market for a 65 inch screen even if it was much cheaper.
But i have a very good pc however. I have RYZEN 1700 16 GB DDR4 3200MHZCL15 GS KILL RIP JAWS GTX 970 G1 GAMING and playing evrything max settings 1440p 30+ fps some games even 60 fps. Those huge monitors are for thsoe who have their pc in the living room not for those who have it on their desk in their room like me. It is impossible to fit such a huge monitor in the desk and iam not planning to move on the living roon for that. Most people have 24-27” 1440p or 27-32 4k monitors on their pc. Only those who have it on their living room have it on a more than 40” Iam pc user since 1996 so iknow how these thigns are. Then i had only a 14” 640×480 monitor.
It runs evrything at max settings 1440p it is very good. PCs are becoming more and more powerful each year so do you think that a pc is average if we dont upgrade it each year?
It is 30+ in all games resident evil 2 for example 35-52 fps maxed 1440p(playing it now) while far cry new dawn is 43 average and 52 max but there aslo games like dead or alive 6 who runs at 60 fps all the time at max settings 1440p but whie i have lot of money and can upgrade at any time i want i dont want to support nvidia with what they are doing now with crazy high RTX 2000 price.
Nvidia says reason for high 2000 price is ray tracing but after 6 months only 2 game support it. Many peole decided to wait for 3000 series. Do you agree with me that best thing to do is wait for 3000? I didnt buy 7700k because it is 4core cpu. Amd with ryzen is beating intel on price. At that time intel was selling 4 core cpu 7700k while for same price we got the much better 8 core ryzen 1700. Just like now you get 2700x for much cheaper price than core i9 9900k but it has almost same perfomance as it for half the price that intel asks for. It would had been crazy to get another 4 core(7700k) when for same price i got the 8 core ryzen 1700. 4 cores cpus are finished. and compared to 2500k that i had it was more than 200% upgrade even with gtx 970.
And what should they do for RTX 3000 to be cheaper than 2000? Make it at least 50% faster than RTX 2080 TI and cost 700 euros will be a good start do you agree?
i had core i5 2500k and 12 gb ddr3 1600 mhz until then(march 2017) then suddenly motherboard burned so i had no choice than to buy new cpu ram and motherboard. so compared to what i had it was huge upgrade and still a very good cpu . iam waiting for RTX 3000 to upgrade gpu and will get rtx 3080ti or 3080(depending on which one will be the best or if both will release same time)
My latest upgrade was in 2017 when i ugpraded cpu ram mothberoard hdd . Monitor and psu ugpraded in 2016 gpu i have it since november 2014. Most people still have quad core cpu ddr3 ram 1080p monitor and much weaker gpu.
I have 55inch monitor on my PC DESK
GTX 970 can’t run current games @max settings with acceptable frame rate… that is just straight BS…
hahahaha 24inch, are you a midget?
what the problem? It is 1440p while most people still use 21-23 1080p
Most people dont use that, most people use 27 inch and larger.
Steam survey includes old models and laptops, if you have home computer with 32Inch monitor and connected your 24inch laptop to steam it will be registered.
Lots of people have more then one monitor, I have 8inch desktop monitor to show PC stat its connected to myc PC so it will be registered with steam survey too
There are no 21inch monitor
60 HZ is disgusting for fast-paced gaming…….
Its ~7.33x bigger than regular 24”, and you pay ~682 $ per one 24” surface!
Yeah I will stick to my 165hz monitor and use reshade If I wanted better colors
You seriously convinced yourself that real HDR equals to something you can do with reshade?
yes and even more let me show you an example these two games were captured using reshade and there are even more advance games out there that would make HDR look like uttersh— when you compare them
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkluWnjl8io&t=455s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vju3e2qBE20&t=447s
LOL, HDR would probably not need adaptative brightness on both games.
You don’t understand what HDR is.
Dude HDR isn’t a match for reshade becuase it can’t do the same thing.
Yeah I will stick to my 165hz monitor and use reshade If I wanted better colors
Getting 3 of these so that I can play Forza Horzion 4 at 12K/144FPS Extreme Settings on my Quad SLI RTX Titans.
Either that OR buy a nice house with an integrated garage that has an integrated hydraulic lift that has an integrated automatic lift procedure that has an integrated auto lock mecanism.
Just buy a race car, bruh.
I already pre-ordered the Bugatti La Voiture Noire for $19 Million which I am expecting delivery in 2.5 years so getting 3 of these screens now will help with the long wait. I also will be playing Fortnite on it so its a very good investment. The Quad SLI RTX Titans have already payed for themselves as I am unbeaten in all Battle Royale games I have ever played which is 0 out 0.
Your frame rates in counter strike must be at least 60fps at 1080p with those cards. ?
I can play CSGO Danger Zone on 48 different Steam accounts simultaneously on my PC and I let my main account win every time.

Does this do 3D vision?
Its 144Hz, Nvidia 3D Vision is supported.
All organs ? Oh no, please. I want you to live dude, lol.
Call me when I can get 42″ for a grand
For the low, low price of 5 grand =P
I’ll be good with my 1440p 144hz Predator for a number of years. Wake me up when we get 4k HDR 144hz monitors for around £500 and aren’t gimped to hell.
WTF do you need 4K 144hz? Along with it you need a xx80Ti card and someone that buys 500GBP Monitor is unlikely to buy 800-1200GBP video card
what?
What what?
Why do you need 4K/144Hz monitor if you buy cheap 500GBP monitors?
Someone that buy cheap monitors wont buy 2080Ti/3080Ti GPU to push 4K/144
So you subjectively think the price point above £500 is worth it then, because then you’re obviously reading into “I think territory” vs “what is”, and even the what is is subjective apart from the actual naming of the price point itself.
Also, why does it specifically have to be 144fps on the mark?.
Thats what you said 144fps.
If we talk about 4K+High refresh rate it means VERY fast GPU, and you cant pay more for a GPU then you paid for your Monitor is just wrong, its like buying 9900K and then slapping it with 8GB RAM and AIR cooler or getting 2080Ti and 9900K and buying GamaHarda “1400w” PSU.
Most people even if they the kind that swaps PSU/GPU every generation, will keep their Monitor for years, Hence it has to be quality.
I dont see quality in 500GBP monitors, MAYBE if its 27inch, no HDR, no FALD, then yes.
yeah, that supports 1hhz, not playing at 144fps all the time. I’m not some “locked at” moron, that feels the need to splurge on a waste of a card like the RTX series.
Wanting something to be cheaper isn’t “wrong”, nor retarded. Expecting exact performance for everything at a “locked” is, especially on a platform that is wholly inconsistent across all sorts of hardware ranges and games.
Hopefully in a year we will see more manufacturers releasing these displays with competitive low prices. As soon as the price drops to $1000 – $1500 I will be purchasing.
These TVs are a scam.
New generation of OLED TVs from LG are coming out this year, with HDMI 2.1 (which these Nvidia TVs do not have) and 4K 120HZ with full HDR Dolby Vision support.
And they will cost a fraction of this, under 2000$
Those LG TV’s are 120Hz 13ms, No thanks I’m after 144hz 4ms.
Its not the same thing, you people always confuse Input LAG and GtG.
There are NO PC monitors with under 10ms Input LAG.
The advertisement on Boxes, all the 1ms, 2ms, 4ms is for GtG: Gray to Gray pixel shift.
Also this stats in itself is scummy, the proper stat should be WtW: White to White [that means a pixel cycle of Full white, then off showing no light complete black and then again showing full white] but since Gray to Gray is faster they use it instead.
For $50 I’ll take your liver with some flava beans and a nice chianti. ?
5k for a 4k TV ? OKAY! Let me just sell my cars and i MIGHT be able to buy one.
Might.

TV the OELD C6P I paid more then that, it was private import from USA to my country and I paid about 6K USD all in all and half year later this TV appeared officially for half price, im an idiot .
I wont pay such sum for a tv anymore.
P.S. what kind of car do you have that cost 5K? My car cost me over 20K USD and its nothing special, small cheap trash car but with all the options they had
I’m playing with a 47″ Full HDTV Sharp Aquos, if you play at 60FPS locked or close to it, no issues but above that you have to use Adaptive VSync because of the tearing of course. I am waiting for a 50″ monitor like this TV but for around 1000€ (the price that my TV was at that time).
I’m quite used to playing with a big TV because when I got it I had my PS3 as well as my PC and Home Cinema connected (all that in my room) and it was cool to play without the need of changing anything. Now when I use another PC at home which has a regular monitor or any laptop, the screen looks so tiny that I can’t go back to that.
Those third person games that can be played with controllers, racing/flight simulators are awesome with a big screen. (I think 4K in a 27″ and below screen is a waste of pixels because of the size of the screen, and most of the things look tiny of course)
I have a 50″ 4K HDR TV at home and tried my PC with it and damn…Forza Horizon 4, Doom and some other games looked incredible. It is 4K 60Hz and it worked well at least, but gotta have those 144hz to guaranteed a proper gaming upgrade of course, and hopefully no more tearing at the same time.
These “TV’s” are made for me, no doubt of it…but for that price…not yet. Maybe in a couple of years or so when prices go down I’ll look into it. I might get a 4K HDR TV like the one I have at home now to play meanwhile so I can “upgrade” from this one. I stopped playing competitive multiplayer games lately because of my garbage network so don’t care that much for 144hz at the moment. But 4K and HDR is cool for me, I could tell the difference with the one I have now.
PS: “Cool story bro” to myself. lol
Your my twin soul! I hope your a female :)I been using 55inch 4K OLED since 2016 as my PC monitor and LOVE IT!
Before that I had 40inch 4K Philips PC monitor [real monitor not TV
And I wont trade for anything small.
Im waiting for 2019 55inch 4K OLEDs, they shuld come soon, they have HDMI 2.1, support 4K 120Hz and FreeSync, i wont be able to use it this gen even my 2080ti doesn’t have HDMI 2.1 or FreeSync support trough HDMI only trough DP but next gen will be different.
My alternative option is to keep my current OLED, put it aside as TV for console games and old 3D blurays that I collected [its the last 3D Oled, no more, pity because OLED iwth passive 3D is the BEST 3D ever, you wont find a better looking, easier to use 3D stereo then Passive 3D on OLED].
So i was saying, put it aside and get the announced Acer/ASUS 35inch 21:9 SUPER monitor, check out the specs: Gsync Ultimate, 1440p 21:9 with 200HZ support, modern VA panels with FALD back-light that has 512 zone [thats unheard of, most BIG TVs with FALD have much MUCH less] HDR1000.
Acer Predator X35
Asus ROG SWIFT PG35VQ
OR if these monitors cost like 55inch OLED i wont buy them, im not insane, i have two alternatives:
ASUS 43 inch VA-10Bit panel 4K/120Hz ROG Strix XG438Q 16:9 with FreeSync and HDR600
LG 38GL950G NANO IPS 38Inch 21:9 with 1440p panel and 144hz overclockable to 175Hz. GSYNC Ultimate but they haven’t announced if it has HDR, if it has no HDR i wont buy it no matter how it costs.
Of course my Ultimate PC monitor is the announced Alienware 55inch 120HZ OLED, but its very similar to actual OLED TV, the biggest difference is that it has DiplayPort and can be enjoyed with any modern video card
Dude…why only 2?!!
Take 3 for 3-way SLI with 4 x RTX Titans!!!
SMH…*sigh*

First HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Second what is a PC port?
Third MVA is worse than OLED and IPS in terms viewing angles…
Wow, at this price, it’s for those lil’rich daddy’s boyzz!
On some OFF TOPIC news, NVIDIA Ceases Support for 3DVision, Mobile Kepler.
NVIDIA will also halt supporting Mobile Kepler products and is moving the driver to legacy status.
Nvidia’s Kepler-based mobile graphics cards are also set to move to legacy support, with Keplar making up much of Nvidia’s 600-series, 700-series and 900-series mobile lineups. Moving these products to legacy status will allow Nvidia support to free up more time, which can be dedicated to newer Maxwell, Pascal and Turing products.
The NVIDIA support post also states that driver support for their Kepler-based graphics cards will cease as of April 2019. Desktop Kepler is still supported.
