NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix Driver 576.26 Available for Download

NVIDIA has just released the GeForce Hotfix 576.26 driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, this new driver fixes a lot of issues that plagued the RTX 50 series GPUs. So, let’s take a closer look at it.

The NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix 576.26 driver fixes a crash that could occur in Black Myth: Wukong when Wukong transformed. It also fixes some flickering issues with some background textures in Resident Evil 4 Remake. Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Forbidden West and Dead Island 2 should also no longer crash on the RTX 50 series GPUs.

And that’s not all. The lights flicker issues in Forza Horizon 5 that could occur on all NVIDIA GPUs at nighttime should be fixed. Plus, the RTX 50 series GPUs will no longer display blank screens when running in DisplayPort 2.1 mode with HDR on these monitors (LG 27GX790A/45GX950A/32GX870A/40WT95UF/27G850A). Oh, and the hotfix driver will fix the grey screen crashes that could occur with multiple monitors.

Moreover, the driver has all the fixes that were included in the previous hotfix. Thus, it fixes the issue that could cause GPU monitoring utilities to stop reporting the GPU temperature after the PC wakes from sleep. It also fixes a bug that could cause the power idle GPU clock speeds of the RTX 50 series GPUs to be lower than what they should be.

In short, this is a must-have driver for all owners of an RTX-50 series GPU. You can download the driver from this link. Below, you can also find its complete changelog. So, go ahead and take a look at it.

  1. I've got one of those monitors but the last driver fixed all my issues. I still have the flickering lights in Forza but I don't want anything else to break… but nothing ventured nothing gained and I can always roll back. I really hate dealing with recompiling shaders again and again though. First world problems!

    1. I installed Forza Horizon 5 a few days ago and it consistently kept crashing every 15 minutes or so. You didn't run into that problem? Reddit seemed to indicate it was a GPU issue with people resolving it by going back to previous branches.

      1. Try uninstall the nvidia app if you have it installed, then DDU the display driver and ONLY install the driver after and see if that fixes the issue. Many issues seems to stem from both the driver and the app installed at the same time
