NVIDIA has just released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA GeForce 595.79 WHQL driver offers optimal performance in Crimson Desert and Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.
This new driver also adds support for more than 35 G-SYNC Compatible displays that deliver a baseline VRR experience. You can find the full list of these new PC monitors here.
It’s also worth noting that this driver packs all the tweaks and changes that the green team added to the 595.76 Hotfix Driver. As such, it fixes the GPU voltage issues that some users have reported. With this new driver, when the graphics card is overclocked, the GPU voltage will not be capped.
The NVIDIA GeForce 595.79 WHQL driver also fixes a couple of game bugs. For instance, it fixes some white glowing light/dots that could appear in Resident Evil Requiem when Subsurface Scattering was enabled. It also fixes some crash issues that could occur in Star Citizen.
NVIDIA has also announced that it will release a new beta version of the NVIDIA App on March 31st. This new beta version will add an option to enable Dynamic Multi-Frame Gen on the NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs.
As I’ve already said, I’m not a fan of this Dynamic MFG. However, I might take a look at the new Multi Frame Generation 6X Mode DLSS override. I personally can’t see the point of having this mode, as it will add more artifacts than the previous 3X and 4X modes. It would make more sense to improve the quality of MFG. Not only that, but you’ll still need a base framerate of at least 45FPS to use it. NVIDIA states that this mode is best used for path-traced games at 4K. But MFG X4 is more than enough for these games. At least in my opinion.
Like always, you can download this new driver from NVIDIA’s website. Below, you can also find its full changelog.
