Hello Games has announced that a new update for No Man’s Sky will be released later this week. Even though there aren’t any release notes yet, this update will be called Atlas Rises, will focus on improving the central story of No Man’s Sky, and will add the ability to quick travel between locations using portals.
There is really nothing more to add at this point. No Man’s Sky has been released almost a year ago (August 12th, 2016) and its latest patch was released back in March. As Sean Murray noted, the team has been listening to its fanbase (despite the fact that it remained silent for so long time).
No Man’s Sky is currently reviewed with Mostly Negative reviews on Steam (while its recent reviews are Mixed). Whether this new update will turn the tide remains to be seen.
We’ll be sure to share with you the release notes for this brand new update as soon as we get our hands on them!
