    1. Ys has a very long history as an action series by Falcom. You should try one of their earlier titles one sale. They’re pretty cheap

        1. No… Ys makes most real-time games look turn-based. Imagine a character action game like Devil May Cry (with a simplified moveset) in a fantasy setting, that you are forced to speedrun to a chorus of high energy guitars and adrenaline. That’s Ys.

          1. Cool, I recommend starting with Oath in Felghana, and then Origin.

Ys l/ll use a different, older style of gameplay.

Oath/Origin won’t perfectly prepare you for Ys VIII as it will use a third, new style of gameplay dissimilar from both of them (but is similar in spirit).

  1. And just think, this is just what’s announced thus far. NISA could make other announcements later in the year. I wouldn’t count out Demon Gaze II and Criminal Girls 2 finding their way to PC in the forseeable future for example.

  2. Ys and Cladun are the only ones that look interesting. I’ve tried 2 or 3 dungeon crawling games but I just could not finish them, regardless of the story, because of the gameplay —__—
