Modder ‘GPUnity’ has released a brand new version of his HD Texture Pack for NieR Automata. According to the modder, NieR Automata – Texture Pack V0.73 – Fall 2018 Update adds a remastered version of 2B, as well as over 230 new high quality textures.
In order to showcase some of the newly improved textures, GPUnity has also released some comparison screenshots that you can find below.
The modder’s goal was to faithfully improve most of the game’s low-resolution textures, by creating a natural looking restoration to them. Do note that you will need Kaldaien’s FAR (Fix Automata Resolution) mod, which allows for texture injection, in order to use this Texture Pack.
If you are still playing this title, and despite the fact that Square Enix has not bothered at all to release a single patch for the PC version, we strongly suggest using this Texture Pack. Those interested can download it from here.

This is what I can’t stand about the PC gaming community. Game releases on PC, haven’t recieved 1 friggin patch all these years and instead of review bombing it to sh*ts and support rubbish like this; they in turn do the developers jobs for them. That’s like going to the theatre: you pay to get in, pay for refreshments and you now have to get up on stage learn the lines & perform the show. ???? This community is so Dumb… That’s why we can’t have nice things. This game should be chased off of steam instead it’s “Mostly Positive”.
This is why I love PC community. I much rather have fix made by fans than be angry and get nothing because publishers just don’t care.
More so are seriously trying to paint PC gamers as mindless sheeps? As opposed to whom? Console gamers? That just consume whatever they are served because they can’t do anything about it?
Ye sure, sure, devs should fix their games, fans should not have to do it for them but…I’m sceptical that they would do so in these few rare cases (Like what even dude? This game and Dark Souls 1? That’s it 😀 ) if fans would not come up with quick fixes shortly after launch.
Don’t fool yourself you are both sheep. Only difference between a console gamer and a PC gamer is that the PC sheep help is slaughterer put his neck on the chopping block. While the console Gamer sheep walks in a straight single file line with blinders on, on his way to the chopping block. The PC gamer is the ultimate enabler with Stockholm syndrome. I use to respect my fellow PC gamers until i realize they were bigger fool than the console peasant.
The console peasants don’t have any choice of the matter but the PC gamer has untapped freedom and choice but instead they willing stay on the plantation. Don’t kid yourself son, you’re a fool like the rest of them. You support a game, pay full price for it and that game doesn’t support you. By this alone, you are the ultimate fool.
That up there is not opinion of your regular consumer but of an dirty pirate. Take it as you want. Probably that my opinion does not really matter in any way.
So I guess for me it’s kinda like….ye sure I needed additional mod to make game work properly but it was free.

But you know what? It makes me really just enjoy playing games to be honest with ya. If I don’t like something I don’t get angry and go on internet, I just delete it and move on.

Here are some shocking news for ya, its all a business, its all for money, no one cares about any one, a horses testicles shrink in RDR2 cus people will pay billions for that sh*t, and most of them will never finish the game.
Most people pay for games they will never finish. No one cares about you or me, they just care that you open your wallet.
At least these people fix the game they love, they will play it a couple of times and get their moneys worth.

Most games are pretty well supported. You don’t know which are going to be supported and which will not when you buy one. All you can do is hope/expect the norm to continue.

The game can’t be played with M+K, because the controls are so broken, it would make even Dark Souls blush.

Fixed by the mod community on PC since the Dev’s gave up on it since launch apparently..
Honestly i don’t care about the price, i would love to buy this game i see so such great things about it, but i will not give SE a single penny for a game broken in many aspects that she didn’t even patch once yet had the balls to release a DLC for it. That exactly the kind of attitude the led to the disaster know as Fallout 76.
First of all i have the game on my PC and i have already finished, and i liked a lot. But i guess reading can be hard since you know it’s right there on my first line

Game works fine using FAR mod ? Maybe for you it does, for me it still crashes even with the mod between 15 to 30 min of gameplay, your point of a low end PC is retarded because neither him or me didn’t even mention performance problems.
Second you missed my by point, Bethesdaa is a perfect example. Fallout 3 is a good game, Fallout New Vegas is a great game but both of them have terribe problems that had to be fixed by the community, even with the problems people still recommended the game because it was a great game if you used the “fixes” provided by the community. So in the end the game was great but broken at the same time but with work done by the community it sold well (Sound familliar ?). Witch is perfect for the publisher since you know they don’t even have to spend money to fix their broken product.
Then comes Fallout 4 that is a clearly stepback in the series and still has the same problems as the predecessors but people joked saying hey it’s Bethesda and that it was especeted then came 76 and the game is broken (who would tought huh) and the community cannot fix, and all of the sudden i don’t know why but people were shocked that Bethesda release the game in that state, and i’m here wondering why. People kept givin them passed for good yet broken games so they just kept caring less and less.
So again, i will not give SE a single penny for a broken game, even if it is a masterpiece.
The creator of the FAR mod included DRM in it to randomly crash the game if you’re using a crack, it supposedly also targets specific Steam accounts that the creator had spats with on the Steam forums. Anyway, there’s a repository with all the funny DRM shenanigans removed:

Nah, the crash is releated to the game. I bought the game at first then refunded because of the crash issues. The only diference beetween the crashs with the mod and without, is that the mod will play a MGS sound when it’s about to crash. Also yeah i use the “DRM free mod” because i knew about those “moves” done by Kaldaien, but thks anyway.
Yeah i pirate the game, cuz in no way in hell i gonna give SE money for a product that barely works for me.
FYI This is the only Platinum game that i don’t have on my Steam Account since you know the rest of them are good ports.
