Mortal Kombat X Officially Announced, Coming To PC Alongside Console Versions

Warner Bros today announced Mortal Kombat X, NetherRealm Studios’ next highly anticipated installment in its legendary, critically acclaimed fighting game franchise that propels the iconic franchise into a new generation. Mortal Kombat X is scheduled for release in 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, X360 and PC. Mortal Kombat X will make its first public appearance at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2014 in Los Angeles.

Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros, said:

Mortal Kombat X aims to combine cinematic presentation with all new gameplay to deliver the most brutal Kombat experience ever, offering a new fully-connected experience that launches players into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy.

Moreover, and for the first time, Mortal Kombat X will give players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style.

Players will step into an original story showcasing some of the game’s most prolific characters including Scorpion and Sub-Zero, while introducing new challengers that represent the forces of good and evil and tie the tale together.

  1. Glad to see the PC version was announced alongside and not years later, proving that both MK9 and Injustice did okay to warrent a PC alongside console this time, suprised to see no vita version though since the previous 2 Netherealm titles were ported aswell to it.

          @smoke_tetsu Hi Tetsu, MKX is running on NetherRealm’s modified UE3 engine. Sorry for any confusion. They’re doing great work with Unreal!

  2. I hope I can get this on disc for PC this time around. I pre ordered 9 for PC from gamestop and the Disc version was canned and was only on steam. I guess I am just getting old and like real copies still.

    OMG my chilhood game ….back in 99″ was something “epic” to play this game i just love it can’t wait for this one!
