Mortal Kombat 11 May 26th PC Update released, adds new Brutalities & Friendships, improves AI & more

Alongside the Aftermath DLC for Mortal Kombat 11, NetherRealm Studios has released a brand new update for it. This update adds new Friendships to all characters, as well as new Brutalities to some kombatants.

The May 26th Update also comes with a number of AI improvements, move list corrections, and balance tweaks to pretty much all characters. Furthermore, it adds new Nether Forge Recipes for players to discover and new Krypt Events.

It’s also worth noting that this patch stage tweaks. For instance, Amplified Background Interactions no longer have throw immunity. Also, after using a Background Interaction to jump over your opponent, they will no longer sometimes take a long time to turnaround if they remain idle.

Moreover, this patch fixes an issue with victim damage sounds sometimes persisting after a Quitality. It also fixes a rare issue with some throw cameras improperly tracking characters while certain modifiers are active. Not only that, but it adds new options in Practice Mode > AI Options > Breakaway, allowing players to adjust timing.

As always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. You can also find its complete changelog here.

Have fun!

  1. I am just shocked Aftermath DLC has a story of over 6 hours it felt like and all the new characters are playable off the bat and no wait like other Kombat passes.

      1. it really is. UMK3, while it has its own character (as all digitized Kombats before it), is extremely simplistic in terms of gameplay and nostalgia is overrated. Modern MK took the best ideas from japanese fighting games and made them better.
