The official website for the next Mortal Kombat game went live, revealing its release date and its debut trailer. This new MK game will be called Mortal Kombat 1, and will be only coming on current-gen platforms.
Mortal Kombat 1 promises to have an immersive story campaign. In this mode, players will fight through a brand new story featuring their favorite Mortal Kombat characters like they’ve never seen them before.
Warner Bros will release Mortal Kombat 1 on September 19th.
Lastly, this appears to be an in-engine trailer. My guess is that we’ll get a gameplay trailer at next week’s PlayStation Showcase event. That, or we might get one at Summer Game Fest 2023. After all, the game will come out in a matter of months.
