AMD and PC Gamer announced today via a press release that Microsoft has joined the upcoming “AMD Presents The PC Gaming Show Powered by PC Gamer” event as both a sponsor and participant. Taking place in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Belasco Theater, the show will feature appearances and announcements from some of the biggest names in the PC gaming industry. Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer and several game developers will share the latest details about gaming on Windows 10 as well as showcase several upcoming games.

Phil Spencer, head of Xbox at Microsoft, said:

“For us, the PC Gaming Show is the ideal place to speak directly to PC gamers, and it’s a great time to talk about Windows 10 – the best operating system we’ve ever created for gamers on PCs. With Windows 10, we’re bringing the best of Xbox with the best of Windows gaming, including Xbox Live and the new Xbox app, Game DVR for nearly every game, and DirectX 12 for better gaming graphics and performance.”

Tim Clark, Global Editor-in-Chief at PC Gamer, added:

“Windows is a vital element of the PC gaming experience for so many of us, and I’m excited to see what Microsoft has in store. The PC Gaming Show is a celebration of every aspect of the platform, so I’m delighted Xbox has decided to play such a key part in it.”

Presented by AMD, organized by PC Gamer, and streamed live in partnership with Twitch, the show will bring the PC gaming community together under one roof for announcements and presentations from both major companies and rising independent developers.

Hosted by Sean ‘Day[9]’ Plott, participants of the show include Dean Hall (DayZ), Blizzard, Bohemia Interactive, Tripwire Interactive, Fullbright, Cliff Bleszinski (Boss Key Productions), Devolver Digital, Nexon, Creative Assembly, Square Enix, CCP Games, Paradox Interactive, and many more.

  1. As long as they don’t use said show to promote Xbox in any way, shape or form,I’ll be okay with this. But I don’t see that happening.Dunno,I think I’ll be offended if a Microsoft representative comes on stage in a PC Gaming Conference just to talk about the Xbox app on W10 and praise the Xbox.

  2. no, GO AWAY

“we’re bringing the best of Xbox with the best of Windows gaming, including Xbox Live and the new Xbox app”
no, it’s a trap, you are forcing that cancer to us, leave us alone cuz we are doing better without your s**t

    1. reading that quote give me the creeps, hell the mention of XBOX LIVE alone did that. we can only guess how badly Microsoft will f’ this up.

    2. Goddamn you like to overreact, when he says “Xbox Live” he just means the fact that you’ll be able to sign into xbl on that xbox app or whatever, how else are they going to get cross-platform play running? or the game streaming from the xbone?

      1. it’s not overreacting when you know M$ and what they’re doing and i don’t want that crap on my PC and who the F wants to streaming from xbone ? also there is no need for that app or xbla to get cross platform play. they are tons of mobile apps and other games that you can do cross play without needing to install such a cancer on your computer.

        overreact ? forgot GFWL ? forgot f2p s**t they pulled with thier PC games ? Win8 ?

      1. Every pc gamer should beat him if he put 1 foot on the stage.
They are gonna try to sell us some proprietary crap and the worst part is that we are gonna eat like 30 min of how amazing is game on sub hd peasantry systems called consoles.
        Damn…

  3. -Windows is related to PC gaming
    -Xbox uses Windows
    Therefore, Xbox=PC Gaming!
That’s some cheap flawed logic they pulled to get M$ bucks…

  4. Halo Collection for Steam or go home, and give me Sunset Overdrive in glorious 1080p60 while you’re at it.

      1. That ain’t going to happen. Games like Smite & Gigantic are already to XB1. A lot more PC games will be coming to XB1 in the near future. PC gamers will be streaming XB1 games through their PC. That’s what the XB1 app is for.

    1. sunset overdrive belongs to pc, hmmm a game that you grind on thigns while strafing around enemies and shooting them, sounds like quake to me. None of this 30 fps lock on crap

        1. I dissagree this guy has improved xbox alot since he came into power, at some point we got to say “yeah well done”

          it is something.

Not that id ever buy a xbox.

      1. Yeah he doesn’t ride the Xbox like Sony does with the PS4. He admitted that DX12 isn’t gonna be a huge benefit on the Bone and he also said that the kinect isn’t all that great as well.

  5. I am all for second chances so I will be giving them the benefit of the doubt until I see what they have in store for PC Gamers but if they screw up this time they wont be getting a third chance, not from me or any other PC gamer for that matter.

You people are reacting pretty disappointingly. If there was no Micorosoft, PC Gaming as we know it would not exist. They gave us the best thing ever (Windows) without it Apple would have been the overlord of PC Gamers & we would be years behind in tech and paying 2 or 3 times as much for everything.

  6. I actually like what MS is doing with the Xbox App, game Dvr, dx12, Xbox One to PC game streaming, native controller support, cross play with Xbox, cross buy with Xbox. Next gen I wouldn’t be shocked if Xbox one games are in the MS store. PC …CONSOLE…don’t really see any real differences aside from consoles being closed hardware and ecosystem wise. That can change pretty rapidly. Next gen we may see Xbox licensed to major PC developers in addition to a new standalone Xbox. Don’t really care what Xbox games are on just give me the games and give me options.

  7. This is what will happen at E3:

    1. Phil Spencer talks about DX12
    2. Phil Spencer talks about Windows 10
    3. Phil Spencer promises to support PC gaming (lol)
    4. Phil Spencer shows a mediocre Fable trailer that no one cares about.
    5. Phil Spencer walks away.

  8. @Phil Spencer & all xbot money grubbing zealots at M$:

unless you have to announce all Halo titles coming to PC (including Halo 5)…you can take your x-potato with potato apps and GTFO of PC Gaming! Thank you.

    1. You’ll probably get another Age of Empire and of course Kings Quest, but don’t expect many XB1 exclusives to be released on the PC. I do think Microsoft will release some exclusive PC games, but then 6-10 months later those games will be ported to XB1.

  9. So he’s going to the PC Gaming conference to talk about Xbox…. no, just no, if you’re not going to show actual support to PC Gaming, and rather shove that plastic box down our throats, the exit is right there. I like how they’ll talk about Windows 10 and DirectX 12, which are intricate parts of PC, but we already know they’ll never stop making that, because pretty much all of the other crap they make run on Windows and DirectX.

I want Microsoft to support PC Gaming, as in, making and publishing games for PC, not trying to integrate PC and Xbox. We don’t want Xbox One’s games(okay, maybe some of them), what we really want, is for Microsoft to make and publish games for PC like they f’ing used to years and years ago, before the Xbox became a thing. Were’s Age of Empires? Where’s Flight Simulator?

  10. Will be all about DX12, Fable Legends (meh), Streaming Xbox games on PC and Win 10 store used to advertise Xbox brand… No thanks. Call me when you have interest in releasing new RTS, Freelancer 2 and/or Quantum Break on PC.

  11. F u CK PC gamer, this event was going to be nice, except for Cliff B part, but because of $$$ they ruined the event.

  12. “Hey guize, if you want the best in PC gaming you should go buy an Xbox so you can play Xbox on your PC because then you can watch sports TV on your Xbox through your PC f’ yeah Xbox Xbox Xbox”
    – Phil Spencer

  13. “share the latest details about gaming on Windows 10”
Let me guess XBOX One on PC and Fable Legends is a masterpiece f2p. and that’s all.

  14. Seriously guys, just had a o?b?v?i?o?u?s? ?t?h?o?u?g?h?t? epiphany:

Why the F should we care? It’s bloody E3! Overhype, lies and bs it’s all that is in there. It isn’t made for people who care about games, it’s made for people who want to alienate you to buy their brands and support their greedy business. E3 is all about marketing, all about alienation, all about supporting a ever growing, unhealthy, greedy, b#ttf’ing stale and boring industry.

PC gaming in special, was always apart (at least in my perception) and today I think I prefer that. Call me elitist, entitled, childish or what have you, at least I can look past beyond a simple box that someone told me it’s the greatest thing I needed.

We shouldn’t need this type of BS to assure that a platform is good and/or is worth it. People who care and give their blood and sweat already do that, everyday. If we ever needed some show like that, is to show appreciation for those people.

    To paraphrase Yahtzee (as usual):

“What’s that? You want to see the goodies that they will bring us this time?
Well hope in to one hand, sh*t into the other, and see which one fills up first, motherf’cker.”

  15. Microsoft won’t be announcing a single Xbox for Windows 10 games. Not a single one. They’ll talk about how you can stream to your PC, blahblahblah, all stuff that is essentially planting seeds to try and get PC gamers to get a console.

  16. They are going to f*** up PC. They are going to move 100’s of PC games to the XBox and gamers who want to play some of the XB1 games on their PC will be able to stream the games to their PC. Microsoft will most likely make some exclusive PC games as well then won’t be on XB1 and visa-versa. You people are paranoid. It’s alreadyu starting with Smite, NeverWinter Online, Gigantic and many, many more heading to XB1 from the PC. Game On!!!

    1. the f**k are you talking about ? who cares about M$ ? all you get are dumb down indie s**t and s***ty f2p titles, your words not mine, i like indies

  17. No one will ever use that app anyway. I can see streaming from High end PC to XBOX with TV but opposite way makes no sense. Maybe streaming to some laptop or windows tablet but I don’t see many ppl do that anyway.

  18. This just makes me angry. I don’t hate Microsoft- Windows is a decent OS from my perspective and I enjoy a lot of tech running on their frameworks. I’d take DirectX over OpenGL any day. That being said f*ck MS for bringing in anyone associated with XBox. It sends the wrong message to PC gamers and shows how out of touch they are with this part of their customer base.
