Microsoft plans to reveal the next-gen Windows on June 24th

It appears that Microsoft plans to reveal the next-generation Windows on June 24th. Microsoft will hold an event, during which it will show us what’s next for Windows.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and chief product officer Panos Panay will be presenting at the Windows event. Microsoft’s Windows event will start at 11AM ET / 8AM PT on June 24th.

From what we know so far, Microsoft will detail its next significant changes to Windows. They may also include a number of visual enhancements, and we may hear more about DirectStorage, AutoHDR or any of the new DX12 Ultimate features.

Now, this could either be a major overhaul to Windows 10, or a brand new operating system.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. Let’s hope it’s something new & different than this bull5hit win10, i really hate the interface of this OS from every inch of my soul.

  2. Another generation of ineptitude and failure to look forward to. No, thanks.

They can’t even get their current OS to stop being a dumpster fire. Unreal.

  3. I hear ya!
Well that’s when we switch full-time to Linux (Arch-based if u wanna be hardcore). I always keep a native dual boot, Windows + Linux setup on my main boot drive.
I literally switched/installed to Windows 10 about ~8 months ago…and still have Windows 7 on my boot drive where I boot once in while.

  4. considering Bill Gates is pretending to be a doctor and trying to kill everyone with poison vaccines… this new operating system is probably loaded to the teeeets with spyware and 1984 surveillance. Honestly… why do we need a new windows? the one we have works fine. Don’t need a new one. It’s all just to implement more tracking and surveillance on you.

  5. It’ll be updates to Windows 10 I think it’ll be for the MS Store on there more so than anything because that’s something MS needs to sort out for GamePass people.

  6. New Windows?

Always online. Requires biometrics to login or use the internet. No local
storage support, all cloud based. Requires a monthly subscription or
your OS will lock you out of your computer.

    How am I doing?

    1. Yeah that would be back, considering all major companies are control freaks this doesn’t look good

    2. if so then bye bye windows and Hello to linu, well I am now playing with linux distros to learn more and its fun

  7. HOW CAN YOU EXPECT SOMETHING FROM NEW WINDOWS IF WINDOWS 10 STILL HAS SO MANY BUGS AND USELESS GARBAGE, NOT TO MENTION PROBLEMS OVERALL THAT HAPPEN MONTHLY

  8. Also New windows ? in such a short time ? hahahahahahahahaha they
gonna change the interface and put on new logo or some sh*t and call it
    WINDOWS 11

  9. Haven’t they already said 10 is the last version, and they’ll focus on updates to it? It’s not going to get better in terms of privacy.

  10. Been working and playing on the windows platform for a long time 30 years at least, and also tried Linux and MAC and I always came back to windows. Don’t understand the few people that are crying out that it’s a broken operating system. It always serve me well.
