Metaphysical puzzle game, Talos Principle 2, will release on November 2nd

Croteam and Devolver Digital have announced that The Talos Principle 2, the long-awaited sequel to 2014’s smash hit metaphysical puzzle game, will launch for PC on November 2nd. In order to celebrate this announcement, the teams have released a new gameplay trailer that you can find below.

As the press release reads, The Talos Principle II greatly expands on the beloved original with more mind-bending puzzles to solve, new puzzle mechanics, a richer storyline, and more secrets to uncover.

Set in a distant future where humankind has long been extinct, human culture lives on through interminable robots made in our image. Players will embark on a quest to investigate a mysterious megastructure. During their progress, they will be confronted with questions about the nature of the cosmos, faith versus reason, and the fear of repeating humankind’s mistakes.

Familiar puzzles will return in The Talos Principle II, accompanied by unique new gameplay including mind transference and gravity manipulation. There’s also a deep character-driven story with multiple endings to lose yourself in, and a series of strange, stunningly beautiful environments to explore—including a city on the brink of a paradigm shift and an island holding the keys to the future.

Enjoy!

  1. its one of the best game i ever played, not so much the gameplay that gets repetitive but the atmosphere the environments the narrative and the story.

    1. I’m just curious, why do puzzle games usually have nice and immersive worlds? Is it a selling point for puzzle games? I’m not a big fan of puzzle games but from what I played they were beautiful, Limbo, Inside, Portal, Q.U.B.E, The Talos Principle, The Witness, etc.

      1. i dont know so they look good i guess or because they think women play them. Quantum conundrum for example was made by a woman, i prefer it over portal and the witness while it looks good the gameplay sucks.

      2. That’s because they sell you philosophical ideas, and with that, must come some great atmosphere to wrap it all.
In this specific case, I find the game very boring and it’s one of the few I couldn’t stand till the end. The others you mentioned are all gems.
