Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is out on the PC and some PC gamers found tools to unlock the game’s data. By doing this, they opened up the possibilities of modding the game itself. Not only that, but some new details about The Phantom Pain have emerged due to the files found in Ground Zeroes.
According to Ground Zeroes files, The Phantom Pain will feature six weather conditions. And these are: Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy, Sandstorm, Foggy and Pouring.
From what we know this far, GZ features a pouring environment, the Deja Vu mission is with a cloud weather, Renegady Threat is sunny and the sandstorm weather condition was showcased during one of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s trailers.
In addition, the game’s files confirmed that there will be a Cyprus environment (you may remember when The Phantom Pain was teased a Cyprus map that was featured in the hospital. Furthermore, the game will feature Afghanistan, Guantanamo, Middle Africa, Mother Base and Old Mother Base.
Kudos to NeoGAF‘s members for finding these new details.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is currently planned for a 2015 release!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. I can’t wait to see what modders are going to do with a modern Metal Gear title. Especially a Peace Walker style one too. Put in new unlockable weapons, outfits, gear, and other fun stuff.
Hopefully down the line Kojima drops some modding tools. If not I still have faith in modders, I mean just look at GTA 4.
Maybe moders can put some clothes on Quiet, so the people will stop
complaining about her outfit LOL.
I hope us with weaker systems can tweak the game to our liking. I don’t like having the AA, DOF and reflections controlled with a single option. It’s the same thing that happened with the Metro games, where I would have loved to enable the subsurface scattering or the motion blur individually.
Lol, one of the first mods i was going to get was a mod that put Quiet in actual combat gear…
I love half naked women as much as the next guy….. but a half naked one in the middle of combat seems just too stupid for me to tolerate. I think she would look better in a sleek Diamond Dogs sneaking suit anyways.
What a duck? man, I wouldn’t doubt if MGS Pp gets cancelled at PC….
Yeah right since PC gaming is dying anyway since 1873…
Dying? wtf?
U have to agree that MGS is all about it’s secrets plots…and revealing is NOT helping
PC MASTER RACE
You may be up to something. I’ll try to avoid these kind of news until the game is released. I’ve already spoiled Paz’s role in the game before playing Peacewalker.
