2K Games has revealed the official PC requirements for Mafia III. PC gamers will need at least a modern-day quad-core CPU with 6GB of RAM, 50GB of free hard-disk space and a Radeon HD7870 or an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660. You can view the full PC specs for Mafia 3 below.

quite the jump there from a 660 to a 1060. I mean their both low end cards but still…
They might be doing what mankind divided did and that is having the low specs be for 720P and the recommended for 1080P.

The more intensive the game is, in general, the less performance friendly it is.
Also, ‘recommended’ doesn’t target ultra settings at 1440p. It usually targets high settings at 1080p.

both are trying to do the same thing. just that between the two nvidia have more resource than AMD so they can spread their effort better. you don’t see AMD attacking nvidia effort like gameworks until recently because they also did something similar in the past. look at Dirt Showdown for example. the game using AMD Forward+ engine for global illumination. enable global illumination and any nvidia card will perform really bad compared to AMD card. if this is gameworks people will screaming nvidia gimping AMD performance. but no one raging about AMD gimping nvidia performance back then.

In all fairness, every rig runs gta 4 like sh*t. I came back to it a few years later with a 980 ti and still average around the 40-50 fps range. Its just poorly optimized is all.

no actually today any mid range pc can run gta 4 far better than the ps3 and xbox 360…and besides yes in 2012 my pc was worth around this but its still the same rig and guess what it surpass the ps4 and xbox one and also the ps4pro and i have also a ps3….well all i can say after playing both version is that the ps3 is bad unplayable empty and look like someone smeared vaseline on my screen to hide aliasing and lets not talk about the dreadful framerate…my brother hated gta 4 on ps3 but when he saw gta 4 on the pc on decent settings he changed his mind and guess what he said “WOW it feels like another game its not just better its like how the game was supposed to be” so yea on console gta 4 was bad on pc it was badly optimized because it needed a powerfull pc…but when you run gta 4 on a good pc even without mods the game looks much more better than the pathetic console version…even unoptimized game eventually are better on pc you should see arkham knight on my pc locked at 60 fps all maxed out at 1440p one of the worst optimized game ever run better and looks much better on my pc
your consoles are pathetic especially this gen microsoft games released also on pc…sony exclusives are getting sparser and worst(uncharted 4 was quite a disappointment) and nintendo…well nintendo are actually the only one that keeps their exclusives and the best combo is a gaming pc and a nintendo system, but if i had to chose only one system to game on for the rest of my life PC anytime!
