Dynasty Warriors 9 is a game that is currently plagued by major performance issues. As we’ve said, we’ll delay our PC Performance Analysis article until the first major patch releases. And yesterday, its publisher apologized for the lack of a PC patch.

As KOEI Tecmo noted, the development team is currently looking into the PC related issues. There is no ETA on when the first major patch for Dynasty Warriors 9 PC will come out, however, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Until then, and until we publish our PC Performance Analysis, we strongly suggest staying away from Dynasty Warriors 9 PC!

It’s about the only source of reviews that actually get impacted by game performance/optimization.

They have no choice but to try. Their game is an utter mess across all platforms. If they only fixed the console versions, there would be so much outrage over them not sorting out the PC version.
Don’t do it man. The “at least they’re” line only gives them more leeway. They’ve done more than enough PC ports to not produce trash like this. These rush job releases and ports can’t be forgiven in the slightest.
Nah, I`m not sure they are. This series has had performance issues on most platforms for years and they`ve never addressed them.
From all I’ve heard about this terrible game the headline ought to be ‘KOEI Tecmo apologizes for Dynasty Warriors 9’.
The game is an absolute mess on Console as well… I would imagine that will be their priority… The series is the same old crap though… It is in need of a MAJOR change to keep it relevant. The gameplay is soooo repetitive!
KOEI Tecmo is well known for its buggy games.
The game is for sale therefore, you should do the analysis and not wait until patched.

Stop with this BS! They knew it ran like trash yet they still released it. Not to mention they have other PC ports that haven’t received a single patch and others that don’t have basic PC Port functions.
This “release, apologize then (maybe) fix” mentality is ruining gaming as a whole.
Gaming sites need to hammer down on these devs/pubs. We can only do so much by bombarding them with negative steam reviews.
If there’s any consolation the PS4 version also looks, runs, and plays like crap.
