Jurassic World Evolution feature

Jurassic World Evolution will not have mod support at launch

Frontier’s upcoming dino park builder, Jurassic World Evolution, will release this Summer and according to its development team, it will not support mods at launch. Not only that, but players will not be able to upload and share their own creations.

This was revealed in an interview with the German magazine PCGames. Now things may change as there are still two and a half months since the game’s release.

Jurassic World Evolution places players in control of operations on the legendary island of Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands of the Muertes Archipelago. Players will build their own Jurassic World as they bioengineer new dinosaur breeds and construct attractions, containment and research facilities.

It was also revealed in that interview that the game will feature 40 different dinosaurs and five islands. Frontier also plans to release new DLCs similar to those who received in Planet Coaster.

Jurassic World Evolution releases on June 12th!

      1. Or I could just give him a huge paycheck. Then again the young tech geeks in Jurassic World seems to be well paid and loyal but hell still broke loose.

Is unavoidable failure states the permanent ending for this game? It would be awkward if we are able manage our own park well past the events in Jurassic World or Fallen Kingdom.

        1. Hell broke loose because they weren’t that smart after all. Setting gates wide open to a dinosaur that can camouflage like a guy with Crysis suit on. And the guys didn’t seem to know about it that much.

I mean the staff isn’t the most motivated and managed ain’t that right. But now with this game, we will make them be.

I don’t see it being more awkward than using velociraptor as your pet as we’ve seen in both Jurassic Worlds. This goes totally against the message Crichton wanted to send. But he’s dead, so I guess all is allowed now.

I will try to make my park prosper and all. I won’t allow any mistakes. Not this time.

          1. “I will try to make my park prosper and all. I won’t allow any mistakes. Not this time.” Spoken like a true entrepreneur that John Hammond would be proud of…just before the screaming and running starts.

For some reason I’m reminded of an old base building game called Evil Genius. When our lair and criminal activities attracted enough attention the good guys will send those pesky super spies to snoop around and throws a wrench to our plans. It would be great if JW: Evolution would intermittently send something similar(aside from freak weather and power failures) like some independent experts criticizing how unrealistic our hybrid dinosaurs are or tree-huggers trying to free the dinosaurs or rogue scientists keep making super monsters without authorization.

  1. Hoping they add mod support within the next few months, rather than a year down the road. They could have just made it PC for now and consoles later if mod support was going to take a backseat.

FFXV and other games have managed to give mod support at launch.
