  1. Hopefully it’ll run at a proper frame-rate on PC as opposed to the embarrassing 30fps on Sony’s consoles.

    1. Better not be locked to 60fps.

Every modern game I’ve had locked to 60fps has had some horrid form of stuttering and lowering to 45-50 fps, despite having a beastly rig.

At least give me either a 120 or 144fps cap.

      1. That was with VC, but with other games that have allowed for 144hz, have ran better for me than those locked to 60.

    2. 30fps alone is not an issue for me, but input latency is because I dont like when I cant aim correctly in games. Many new games have input latency issues, and for that reason 60 fps helps, because it lowers input lag even when game is coded very bad. But sometimes even running game at 60fps is not enough. For example half life 2 with multicore enabled, that game has insane input lag and feels responsive only at 120fps+, but if you run that game on single core input lag is fixed, and then game feels perfect at 60fps, and even 30fps is playable. On my PC I can run all games at 60fps, but when 30fps game is done right, even 30fps is enough for me, especially on gamepad. Lately I was replaying alan wake on PC at 4K 60fps, but because my family has visited me I could not use my PC as always, so I have played xbox 360 version in the other room when people were sleeping. 30fps implementation in Alan Wake is so perfect, that it was like playing the same game, and Alan Wake is very dynamic game, it requires precision on gamepad. Now I’m playing the order on my PS4P, 30fps is not as responsive as in alan wake, but still game is playable. On the other hand GTA5 on PS4P is a lag fest, it’s hard to aim at anything because of input lag, and there’s no comparison to PC version. On GTA 5 PC I can aim without aim assists on gamepad, but on PS4 game is unplayable that way because of input lag. PC version even at 30fps cap feels smoother than PS4P version :P.

Many years ago most games were 30fps, because 30fps is really enough, but back then game engines werent that laggy, today 60 fps is a must for most games, people are forced to run games at 60fps.

  2. I emulated that game on my phone 4 years ago .
They rly cant make new original games . Re-releas the old good game that can make us money . . . . .

  3. So far you’re the second site that is actually covering the fact that the game is coming to PC. Every other site seems to just list the Switch alone and not X1 and PC.

  4. Fantastic, been looking forward to this announcement. Shame the physical PC version has no disc. Oh well.

    1. If the Ponies are being salty again then it’s even more pitiful than usual given that the Crash Bandicoot franchise hasn’t been exclusive to PlayStation since the year 2000.

      1. I don’t have the stomach to go to ResetERA, but I’m sure there’s a few fanboys crying over there.

        1. Nothing will likely ever top the amusement value in this respect of having witnessed the epic meltdown from the Xbots including the rage directed at their formerly sainted overlord Phil Spencer when Microsoft announced the abandonment of Xbox exclusivity. ?

          1. OUR EXCLUSIVESSSSSSSSSSS NOOOOOOOOOOOO

It’s like some is going to steal their copies. Huh.

          2. Yep. Closet Sony fanboy Kim Kardashian West is predictably crying about it already, lol!

In the small mind of the console fanboy the point of exclusives isn’t about them getting to play more games on their console. Instead, it’s all about spiting other gamers, i.e. they rejoice in the fact that some other people won’t be able to play those games.

It also seems to elude them that many gamers own more than one platform because we’re not all idiotic console brand fanboys like they are. Right now is an especially sensitive time for the most emotionally fragile of Sony cheerleaders because Xbone X is now the go-to console of choice for the highest standards of visual fidelity on console. Their days of lauding it over Xbone/Xbone S owners are over. Despite having not so long ago upgraded from PS4 to the chronically underwhelming PS4 Pro they’re already desperately awaiting the arrival of PS5. Tragic.

    2. Because some people think companies give a cr@p about console exclusivity as much as they do. No devs or publishers care about glorifying one platform over another unless they’re paid a buttload to forego alternative revenue possibilities.

Most games cost so much now that exclusivity makes zero sense. Sony and Microsoft’s consoles are essentially exactly the same. If I was a dev I’d release on every single platform possible.

      1. This is why I see platform unification as a necessity. Despite whatever MS and Sony would want for the future. The problem is – the only unification that would make sense is the PC, because it’s most future proof with variable framerates, scalable horsepower etc. But Linux didn’t work for Valve, and that is what Sony is using pretty much, to avoid licencing fees to Microsoft. So this will hurt. But it must be done somehow.

Console gaming is nonsense, when Xbox One X, PS4 Pro and PS5 on the horizon makes the console lifetime cycle 4 years or so. And the constraints, which are forcing devs to release games in 30 fps doesn’t help either, cause the choppiness is real.

Imagine Bloodborne in 120 fps. Yeah, I’d take that, thanks.

      2. From my perspective Publishers/ Developers are waking up to the reality that PC gaming is a bigger market than in the past. PC gaming has been the number 1 platform of the 3 major gaming platforms for a while now (excluding mobile gaming) and continues to grow year after year. There’s just too much money in PC gaming for them to ignore anymore.

That’s why we are seeing more and more previously console exclusives getting ported to PC and hell, even MS might port the Xbox fan’s beloved Halo franchise to PC.

I think a good bit of the catering to console gamers only mentality is dying off and good riddance. It was stupid then and it’s even more stupid now with so many billions of dollars to be made in PC gaming. Last year PC gaming generated around 35 billion dollars in revenue and it will be more this year and the next and the next.

        1. But basically W7/10 machines are MS platform anyway.

Also mind you most of the PC gaming revenue comes from F2P games and of course China. So console exclusives and audience there still makes kinda sense, although the preowned games are obviously a problem.

    1. I remember the NES/SNES era when some games cost $80. I remember my sister buying me Super Street Fighter 2 on SNES at a store for $75.

      1. …before Nintendo were done for illegal price fixing and also deservedly lost their dominant position in the industry from which they’ve since never truly recovered.

    1. You’re still around you braindead kid? It’s like you enjoy getting insulted 24/7, i mean suit yourself, but it’s not that healthy in the end…
