Hi-Rez Studios’ Paladins has surpassed 4 million registered players

Hi-Rez Studios has announced that team-based fantasy shooter, Paladins, has surpassed 4 million players worldwide and become one of the most popular games on Steam. Do note that this is 4 million registered players, and not 4 million active players.

Todd Harris, Chief Operating Officer of HI-Rez Studios, said:

“The worldwide response to Paladins has been incredible. It has been thrilling to see the game grow week-over-week since the Steam Open Beta began in mid-September, as well as to hear all of the player feedback, which we are constantly using to improve the game.”

Paladins entered Open Beta on Steam on September 16th. The game will be also coming to the Chinese market soon through a partnership with Tencent.

    1. Evolve is a perfect example of this. It went F2P, its playerbase skyrocketed, & then it subsequently crashed.

Now if it were a subscription-based MMO, then that’s another matter entirely…….

      ;D

  1. Been playing Paladins since few months. Unfortunately the game is full of 12’ish kids with aimbots using Cassie or Androxus or Fernando, last couple of games i play i find two of them in one team and they even deny that they are using it. Shame, game needs some Punkbuster or VAC to keep the game fair. Sure i can still go 38 to 4 with k/d and POTG with these kids but it’s not fun when you know you can’t move them down because they have a scipt that has perfect aim.
