Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human are coming to the PC

Now here is a pleasant surprise. Quantic Dream has announced that Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human will be coming to the PC. Yes, this isn’t an April’s fools joke; these Playstation-exclusive games are indeed coming to the PC, however there is a catch.

According to the developer, these three games will be timed-exclusive on Epic’s Digital store. In other words, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human will release first on Epic’s store and one year afterwards on other digital platforms.

Quantic Dream co-CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere said:

“We are so grateful for 12 fantastic years of collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment and all they have allowed us to create and produce. With this new partnership with Epic, we can now expand our products to a wider fan base and allow PC players to enjoy our titles.”

Although there isn’t any release date yet, Quantic Dream and Epic Games claimed that these games will be released later this year!

  1. I have already detroit on ps4 got it cheap not bad but too short,

I did not play heavy rain and beyond two souls

But epic game store? In this case illgo to skidrow store

      1. Heavy Rain was awesome. I still remember the day I rented ps3 to play 4 games during my holiday. Metal gear solid 4, Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 & 3.

I am happy quantic games are coming to PC again. Indego Prophecy was weird and good.

      2. It has a lot of similar mechanics to a Telltale game but more mobility. It revolves around a murder mystery from what I remember and had a pretty good story all around.

I’d give it a shot before the other two but can’t say for sure since I havent played them.

        1. All 3 of them have action ? are they 3rd person action adventures like devil may cry sekiro dark siders just cause e.t.c? If yes then why all gameplay i see is just walking and talking?

          1. i dont know about the first 2 but detroit had some stressful moment, but dont expect devil may cry or even fps style gameplay at the end those games are mostly just adventures with choices than can affect how the story plays out

          2. He’s skirted around, but no, they don’t have “gameplay” they are interactive “movies”.

    1. I am one of them, but I’m not in pain.I’m actually glad that you can experience this.I play on both Pc and Ps, how about that? 🙂

  2. Epic does what Steamdon’t. I don’t care about these games, but would be nice if epic could bring more formelly console exclusives to PC.

  3. This was probably planned to be released on steam, but it seems they want sweet profit from epic store since they basically giving huge piles of money for exclusivity. I wonder what will epic do when the money ends. Cause I doubt fortnite can last much longer.

      1. I m a steam user for 9years, and yes 30% is too much of the cut. Its actually really unfair no matter how you look at it. It should be 10% for small developers and 15% for big developers. Perfect balance.

      2. Discord is taking only 10% but I dont see Publishers fleeing there en masses. So it’s not about the cut % money.

  4. Remember people these developers using epic to milk Epic exclusivity deal, its pretty obvious actually.

  5. Who want’s to play those games? I mean it’s a a video playback with some buttons on screen from time time, classic thing for dead brain people, who love to be milked by AAA studios 😀

    1. Quantic has some good games dude eventhough they are QTE heavy like Indego Prophecy, Heavy rain etc. I thought indego prophecy was excellent game during that time.

  6. Damn them! I killed myself watching emulators progresses, and they now just giving me those games to play just like that! Its not funny!

  7. Meh! when Bloodborne comes to PC I’ll be impressed. Other than that I can wait a year to buy cheap on Steam. These games are either hated or loved, but I’ve never felt any rush to play them. And from what I hear Heavy Rain has not aged well. Which is the most praised out of them.

  8. Should we thank Epic Games for these former Sony Exclusives coming to PC or NOT, I am seriously confused, would they have ever come to PC if the Epic Games Store never existed?

    1. Probably should thank, doesn’t mean I’m gonna love them tho. Especially for games soon (already) playable on PS3 emulator.

    2. Netease (a Chinese investment firm) recently bought a minority stake in Quantic Dream, one condition of which was their games go multiplatform. Epic had nothing to do with it.

  9. That is yet another reason why I praise Microsoft more than Sony these days.
Backward compatibility with most previous Xbox games on newer consoles.
And the play anywhere thing that brings more Xbox exclusives games to PC.
And the Halo MCC coming to PC via Steam.

    Then we have Sony.
No backward compatibility (Playstation NOW is the closest thing we have). Problem with that is the monthly subscription plan, lack of availability in certain countries. Depends too much on a stable, high performance internet connection.
Now exclusives coming to PC, but via Epic’s store first and than other platforms later. Who knows, maybe they will make it permanent exclusive on Epic just to piss people even more.
And Epic doesn’t have such a good reputation on their record lately.

I’m not a Xbox fanboy BTW, neither a Sony fanboy. I own a PS4 Pro just because I like the exclusives on the PS4 more than on Xbox One. Like Infamous, Uncharted and Marvel’s Spider-Man. Yet I still feel that Microsoft do make more reasonable choices that pleases gamers more than what Sony is capable of.

  10. So is there any chance Naughty Dog or Santa Monica Studio’s game will come to PC by an Epic Store Exclusive ..?? If so then Epic can have my Thanks.

      1. I think Marvel/Disney made a deal to have Spider-Man in the MCU with Sony in exchange for exclusive rights to the Spider-Man video games. So very unlikely you will see a Spider-Man game on any other place other than a Sony platform. Our best bet to play Spider-Man on PC is through PS Now. But still never say never.

    1. I never thought this would ever be on pc. i’m still in amazement.
I wonder now if the PC will get a version of the Spiderman game.

      1. They can keep that game.

I don’t like forced stealth missions just to shoehorn Miles and MJ in.

  11. So Epic has the money to bring FIRST PARTY SONY exclusives to PC and you’re all asking that small devs with potentially s****y games are selling out to Epic?

  12. This is great news! Just means it’ll be free in a few days after release…. Not condoning piracy or anything but you know, there’s a clear service issue here Epic Store exclusivity…

  13. Death Stranding everyone?

Though I heard that it’s timed exclusive to the Epic Store so it will probably be on Steam in a few months.

  14. I was so f*king excited before I read:

“According to the developer, these three games will be timed-exclusive on Epic’s Digital store”

Just f*k off will ya? F*K OFF!

  15. And i remember someone who try to port Beyond Two Souls to PC but Quantic Dream send C/D letter to him…

  16. Yeah, with God of War, Death Stranding, The Last of Us and Spiderman, they are really dying hard………

  17. Have you guys covered this news ? I’m not sure….But, the system specs for BEYOND:Two Souls and HEAVY RAIN are out……seems similar to the Detroit: Become Human
